Question about 1998 Pontiac Sunfire
I checked the fuel pump and it turns on. I also checked all the plugs and wires. The plugs are not getting fuel. The fuel regulator is working. So somewhere betwee the regulator and the plugs there is a problem! Any ideas??
Try the Battery to alternator pathway. See if you have a charged battery if so ensure good clean conection with + and - battery cables. If power good check fuses. Then look at altenator because this is what keeps you battery charged when your car is operating. When the car shut down where you experiencing power issues with lights. The Sunfire is classic for battery, fuse and ignition problems. I hope this helps and if you don't know how to do steps with a AAA membership you can walk your way through these guidelines.
