Blinker I have a 2000 GMC Jimmy and the blinker will not stop making the clicking sound. Is there a quick solution or do I need to replace the switch... Or is that even the right thing to do?

Blinkers not working 97 gmc jimmy

You may need a voltmeter to check if power is going into the turn signal switch. Start at the turn signal fuse and see if power there, with key on.

Turn signal constantly making noise as if my blinker is on even when its not, sometimes it will stop when I press the brake pedal, but once the brake pedal is let up it starts agan. I replaced the relay...

May be a problem with your 4way flasher switch - may be partially engaged or failing and if so, pressing the brake pedal will stop the flasher. Try turning the switch on and off a few times.

Blinker sound won't shut off (the blinker light shuts off), if I apply my brake it shuts off

There is a short in the signal switch mechanism in the steering column. Excess wear and conducting grease has created this short. The switch can be acessed by splitting the steering column and using very small tools and fingers!! you can remove it. Detailed instructions can be found on the net.

The blinker clicking sound won't stop when blinkers are off

Hello, you need to replace the flasher. It is located under the dash on the driver's side near the top of the brake pedal.

1997 GMC Sierra p/u. Brake light & blinker out. Taillights ok.

I have notice that this is a common problem. The socket most of the time goes bad, I don't know why but they just do. You can pick them up at any parts store for around 5.00 each. If you don't have a volt meter and ground straps to test it right, then I would try changing the sockets out. Quick and easy. Let us know how it goes.

2000 GMC Jimmy, Flasher clicks alot even after repalcing flasher

Auto headlights do go off when turn signal is put on. The wiper problem could very well be in the blinker switch in the column, they are know to go out on these trucks. Run some tests before replacing.

sounds like your electronic flasher unit maybe stuck causing the noise. they are generally located under the dash on driver side just below the instrument cluster.
