1996 power mirrors only adjust down, not up, left or right

1996 Chevrolet S-10 Blazer. I have replaced the switch on the power mirrors and they will still only adjust down, not up, left or right. Can someone tell me what the problem may be?

I purchase a new power mirror for the driver side also when I purchased the new switch. But both mirrors still will only adjust down when using the switch, they will not move up, left or right.

The promblem is with both mirrors, they do the same thing which is only move down. The left, right and up does not move them when you press the switch. I have not tested the switch to see if 1 12 volt signal goes out in all of it's four planes of adjustment, how do I do that?

Take the switch out and leave the wiring connected to it, buy a 12 volt test light (avail at any auto parts store) and probe the connector while u operate the functions that are dead, if the switch is working the test light will illuminate.

Power mirrors dont stop adjusting to the right what would cause the problem?

this sounds like its the adjuster switch the one you use to move the mirrors left or right is stuck to the right, or stuck down on the right side of the switch, try replacing the switch this will possibly cure the problem...hope this helps

How do you tighten the driver side mirror on a 1996 chevrlet blazer?

you need to pull the door panel off on the inside of the door, there you will find three bolts right behind the mirror. Simply tighten them back up

Adjust headlights on 92 blazer

To adjust lights there are two screws on each light one on the side adjusts left and right settings, one on the top adjusts up and down settings. You may need to spray some lube on screws to free them up so you don't break them off.

The electric side mirrors on my blazer do not work so I cannot adjust them. Both sides do not function. I think they are power heated as well and that doesn't work either. Any ideas? I believe I checked...

I would start with making sure ur selector switch is not in the off postion just in case lol. next I would have to take door panel off get at the switch and see if you have power going to the switch this can be done with just a 12volt tester. Then if power is coming to switch operate see if power is going out, use selector switch to see if power goes out to left then try right mirror and for fun in off postion no power to either. the switch may just have a bad connection or broken because it is very douhtful both are bad but if the mirrors never get move they can seize up it a good pratice to more them every so often hope this helps get started in the right direction.

Same problem. motor works

adjust your mirror to center with your hand manually and try the switch again. if it still dosn't work switch to the other side mirror and see if the other side goes up/down. if it does then replace the side that's not going up and down....you have to replace the whole assembly. can't just replace motor.
