Okay, sorry. Then replace the wheel cylinder. Have you had it apart? If it's leaking they will stick too.

I think it is time to find an accredited brake specialist . At the best with a hub it may be bad wheel bearings but I consider it a problem with the mechanics and their lack of commitment to fixing your problem

My 1996 Chevy cavalier recently failed inspection because the rear brake locks up. are the any reasons that this is happening? and what can i do to fix this problem?

1st , make sure that all of the brake springs is not losing their tension, or not working properly, if this checks out ok, then check out the proportioning valve, this distributes brake fluid pressure to all 4 wheels.

The pasnger side back keeps locking up when i put the brake on i have changed drums brakes springs cylinder it will lock up then un lock over and over the adjuster keeps adjusting to tight by its self what...

Hi:) Make sure the brake shoes are on the wright side the short shoe goes on the front part of the backing plate and make sure the emergency brakes are loose enough. They are what adjust the brakes (pulling and releasing the brakes adjust the brake slack while backing up) so check the springs and cable for proper installation.

Whenever I engage the parking brake it doesn't lock up the wheels at all.. there isn't the slightest bit of friction.

Remove the rear driver side wheel and make sure it's connected to the brake drum assembly (slide the drum off and verify the e-brake cable is attached).

Check for any breaks in the cable underneath the car.

Grabby almost locking brakes

It sounds like the brake shoes are reversed or the wrong ones. Also may be faulty, or incorrectly installed brake hardwre. I'm assuming this problem did not happen until after the brake job? If it did, then you might have a different problem.

96 Cavalier passenger rear brake lock up when wet or cold

Bad PROPORTION VALVE ... the back brakes should only be doing 30% of the stopping with a bad proportion valve it will send more pressure to the back during braking and cause it to lock up. Good Luck and thanks for using FIX YA
