1988 dodge dakota won't start after being rearended

I was rearended in my 1988 dodge dakota and now it will not start. It seems like it is not getting any fuel. what could be my trouble?

A lot of cars now a days have an emergency fuel shut off switch this prevents fuel from being spit out after an accident i dont know about the location but if you took it to a shop they probably would

My 1988 Dodge Dakota starts when cool, and runs good at all times. However, after the vehicle has ran for 20 min or more, it will turn but will not start again until it cools off.


sounds like your ignition coil is getting hot. it is either a bad connectioin with the wiring leading to your distributor or bad connections with your batt terminals. also you might want to check all your fuses and make are all correct size

I have a 1988 Dodge Dakota and need to find the fuel pump fuse.


if you cant locate just start pullin fuses and look for a burnt out fuse and replace
