HI, due to the damage to the bonnet that protects the fan(fan shroud), this damage has caused a malfunction within the temperature guage sending unit(temp sensor).

Simply replacing the temp sensor will fix this issue.it could be a lose or ripped wire as well. make sure the temperature sensors wires are connected and not torn.

under the bonnet on the radiator is an automatic fan, now if the radiator is low or you need to replace the coolant in it or top it up but the car may need a service and let them know the problem.

Sounds like a micro switch problem.
the relay is staying and saying on even when off. An electric program test should fix the problem. They are small diagnostic machines that plug into a socket either under the bonnet or in/near the glove box.

Vw golf gl 1997 2liter engine. My engine started to making clicking/rattling noise but still drives fine. Does anybody know what's going on?

Not entirely sure without my head under the bonnet and my trust long snap on screwdriver to try to locate the noise but the moving the camera in and out from the engine hasnt helped ,but i would sugest you ask a local mechanic to have a look as well but this noise sounds like a collapsed hydraulic tappet but it could also be a small end or a broken top piston ring .In all honesty i just cannot place the noise and moving the camera didnt help me a lot as i could then hear other noises like fan belt adjuster

Radiator fan immediately starts when i start my car

It could be several things. The fan relay may be bad, The fuse for the temp. gauge could be blown, or the temp sensor could be bad.

Hi I have a Mini One, yesterday and tonight when I

hi it sounds like the engines electric cooling fan has automatically come on as the engine has got hot enough for it to be cooled down
you may have never noticed it before .
check your coolant level and your oil level to be on the safe side and keep an eye on the temperature gauge the fan should come on when the gauge goes past normal running teperature if its coming on a lot there may be a problem but its probably working as normal

sounds like a coolant hose has a pin-hole or burst slightly open. pressure test cooling system or if you do not have a tester ----fill system with water and with bonnet open run engine untill it gets hot, builds pressure and starts leaking ,just keep an eye as where it leaks,

1994 Volkswagen MK1 golf knocking noise

Very simple.... I had this problem and it drove me Crazy.... your gearbox engine mount is gone. When you look at it it will look fine but when under load it moves. creating the knocking noise..

Use a crowbar (Very carefully) to move the engine to check.
