Question about 1996 Volvo 960
The air mass sensor is bad. 960's engine is electronically control and requires no tuning-up. The problem exists due to fuel/air mixture incorrectness.

Yes you most definatey need a tune up replace plugs/FUEL-FILTHER/air filther/ fuel pressure /pressure regulator check ignition wires /cap and especially check for vacumn leaks last fuel-pump-relay
