Question about 2004 Chevrolet Impala
Pull out of a parking place in reverse then when I go to drive forward the Traction Active light comes on (and the traction system activates). In addition when I brake for a stop sign or whatever the ABS activates making it difficult to stop.
This occurs in normal driving conditions, whereas it had never happened unless the driving surface was snow or ice-covered.
I had the "ABS Hub" replaced. Worked fine for a while. Started happening again. The fixed "ABS Hub" was broken replaced again under the 1 year warranty. Now 3 months later same thing happening again.
Very frustrating could it be something other than the Hub?
THE SPEED SENSOR IS LOCATED INSIDE THE HUB ASSEMBLY. THE TWISTED WIRES GOING TO THE SENSORS ARE PROBABLY AT FAULT. THE WHEEL SPEED SENSOR HARNESSES ARE AVAILABLE THROUGH A DEALERSHIP.
