wow i guess i jumped the gun after marking the positions and reversing the direction of the rotor it wants to start but it wont and even when it seems to be on the edge of running it will backfire out the intake i checked for fuel pressure at the manafold and it had plenty but am wondering if it isnt a fuel problem now i am definity getting spark i used a small spray of either and it backfired out of the manafold a big flame... am running out of ideas and cash

any other suggestions? thank you in advance

ok i have helping hands coming over in the morning we will do as you suggest i did repull the distribtor and hand cranked the engine to top dead center and put distributor back in, i pulled the EEC and it tested ok i looked at the new cap i put on and you can see signs of flash i bought a new stator but i do not have tools to disassemble the distributor to install it but do not think it is the problem. now you have set me on a new course (thank you for i need the help) and ill post tomorrow how it goes thank you again Jim

Mr speeddemon97 i humbly thank you!!! by doing what you said we found that the rotor part of the distributor was free spinning that lead to a closer investigation of the distribtor showed that the rolled pin was sheared off and the gear was sticking but slippin intermittantly a new distributor later it fired right up and runs good i do not know how i can ever thank you enough!!! double 10 thumbs up

It sounds like you are 180 out on the distributor try pulling it out and turning the rotor to the opposite side and putting it back in. the #1 cylinder will hit tdc twice for every time it fires the plug you are probably hitting it on the wrong tdc stroke.

if it is backfiring from the intake you either # 1 have the timing off a bit not quite the 180 that you were before but still off or #2 do not have the cam timed in with the crank just right check both of those. bring #1 cylinder to tdc and pull the cap the rotor should be either pointing at #1 plug wire or directly away from it if it is away from it rotate it once more around to tdc again so it points towards it. then take off the valve cover and make sure that both valves for #1 are closed if they are not you will need to retime your cam with the crank if they are then you will need to rotate the distributor a little farther to time the spark

If you do get a pedal with the clutch to shift the slave cylinder is shot

How do you replace the parking light bulb (front left) on 1993 Ford F-150.

There are two screws and two nuts that hold the lighting unit in place. The screws are at the top. The two nuts are 11mm and located at each bottom corner. You can see the nuts from underneath the truck, but they are accessed from the top.
