Well if you check the local parts stores and they can not get one. The only other option is call the local Ford dealer and order one.

Use a test light, test for power and ground at the bulb contacts. Then test for power and ground at the wires. Probably needs a new socket, common problem.

There is a cam assembly inside the steering wheel. It is not too easy to get to and wears out too quickly.

Turn signals work randomly, but mostly not at all. not the flasher. 88 ford taurus.

99% it is multifunction switch, which is the turn signal lever assy, if you can get to work by wiggling it that is your problem, they get dust inside and burn up contacts

96 Ford Taurus no turn signals or hazards

Take the turn signal lever and jiggle it, a lot. If they start working, the switch is bad. You can also turn on the hazards and take hold of the button and push it left , right , forward and back and see if they start working. If so, replace the turn signal/ hazard switch.

1988 Ford Taurus Turn Signals do not work

Yes, it certainly could be the switches in the windshield wiper stalk off of the steering column.
From day one, my (used 14K) 93 Taurus turn signals worked in some positions of the wiper speed and not in other positions of the wiper speed. Fortunately, they always work when the windshield wipers are off.
