How many qts of trans fluid does a 1983 GMC pickup take?

if the torque convertor is drained then it will take about 13-15 litres of oil. if the convertor was not drained then it will take about 5-6 litres. run the engine after you added fluid putting the trans into reverse and drive then park and recheck fluid level and add until fluid level is at the full mark.

Alway pick the thermostat with "fail-safe" relief. Look for a float like pressure relief port.

The low tech method to prevent trap air pocket is to drive the car onto an oil ramp (or hill) then fill coolant slowly.

How to compute kilometers per litre

You would fill up the vehicle, then divide the mileage traveled by the amount of fuel it took to fill the tank again.
So assuming you filled the tank each time, you would divide 609km by 100.4 ltr which is .1648 or 16.49 L/100km
Thats about 40 mpg.

Wat will happen if my coolant light came on and all i had was regular anti freeze, the 50/50 and i put some in my 2002 745li bmw

If you are only adding a couple of litres, the freezing point of the coolant will be altered very slightly. The important thing to check is that the antifreeze you are adding is suitable for alloy engines. If you add water the freezing point of the coolant will be raised, again very slightly if you only add a couple of litres

Engine coolant

you need maybe 1+1/2 gallon of distilled water;NOT TAP WATER and 1 gallon of Mazda Coolant; NOT 50/50 mix..

((WHEN THE ENGINE/COOLANT IS COOL>>VERY IMPORTANT!!!))

1.from the radiator, remove the drain plug, let it drain. for faster drain, also remove the resevoir cap.

2.when empty, put drain plug back on refill the resevior with the distilled water until full.

3.with the resevior cap off start engine with heat settings on Hi, until the coolant temp guage begin to rise or when thermostat opens. turn off engine.

4. repeat steps 1-3 until only clear water drains.

5.make sure drain plug is in, refill resevior with Mazda coolant til about half way (in case there's any expansion), do not put cap on yet, let the air bleed. start engine, let it run for 5 min.

6. accelerate in park/neutral to 2500RPM's (DO NOT drive yet) to help bleed the air keep an eye on coolant level because you will have to top it off.

7.check level as temp reaches normal; half point as usual. put resevior cap on drive around the block and check level again. make sure coolant is on the proper level; "F" or "MAX"...of course when the engine cools it will be below, but while the temp is normal it should be on the proper level.

4 quarts of oil with a new filter (3.79 litres)

Use genuine Toyota "red" coolant. Not a great idea to use anything other than genuine Toyota coolant. The Toyota coolant prolongs the life of the water pump impeller shaft seal. Get it at a Toyota dealer, mix it 50-50 with water.
