the blower motor is located under the passenger side of the dash. The blower motor resistor is located behind the glove box assembly. You will need to remove the glove box assembly and then you will see the resistor. It will have one connector with four or five wires and will be held to the HVAC unit with 2 screws.

The Blower Motor Resistor is located behind the glove box on the dash. Remove the whole glove box to access. The Resistor is mounted against/sort of into the fire wall.
1. Disconnect the negative side of battery.
2. Disconnected the Electrical Connection to the Resistor.
3. Remove the bolts/screws. I believe they have 8mm heads, there should be 2 of them.
4. Replace with new one/Replug electrical connection.
5. Reconnect the negative side last.
6. Test System before putting the glove box back in!
The Blower Motor is easy (compared to $1000) to remove and replace.

What is the best access to the 2000 323i blower moter

remove Remove the glove box and rear trim panel to access blower motor, are u sure it is not the blower speed control that is the source of your problem? that is the most common failure
Here is a copy of the instruictions to replace that component if needed courtesy of Just Answer.com

I believe that the component the BMW tech was referring to is the blower final stage (like an electronically controlled blower resistor assembly). This is a very common failure item on this model, and causes the symptoms you describe.
BMW has a revised part number for this component, which lasts much longer than the original design. When you call the BMW dealer for the part, it is #(P/N 64 11 8 385 549).
The IHKA blower final stage resistor is located behind the right side footwell vent duct. Here is the replacement procedure:
(1) Remove the glove box and rear trim panel to access the area behind the duct.
(2) Remove the two attaching screws from the stepper motor bracket and carefully disconnect the flap rod from the stepper motor arm. Remove the stepper motor to access the final stage resistor. Note: Do NOT turn on the ignition switch while the steeper motor is removed from the case.
(3) Remove the connector from the final stage resistor and the two attaching screws. Remove the IHKA blower final stage resistor and replace it with the improved PN 64 11 8 385 549

2006 grand cherokee laredo heater fan only works on high, I had the same problem with my sebring sedan and had to replace heater fan motor. Is this likely the same problem? Where is it located?

It is NOT the motor itself in this case, it is the blower motor's resistor pack, which was and seems still is a common problem with the grand cherokees. It is usually located under or behind the glove box right on the firewall, and some rarer cases under the hood, also on the firewall but on the hood side and not the inside of the vehicule, next to the blower motor assembly. In your case it should be located inside the vehicule and requires removal of the glove box according to a few tech experts on the web. Here is the section of tech info i have found which i think will be the most useful for you:

"Get to the blower motor in a Grand Cherokeemag-glass_10x10.gif by first disabling the airbags. Unscrew the glove box and remove it. Unscrew and remove the blower motor wire harness found directly behind the blower motor. Unscrew three screws holding the blower motor into place and then remove the motor."

So I hope this helps you out.

Where is the heater resistor switch for a 1995 gmc sierra

Its located behind glove box on top of heater just to the left of blower motor. If you take off the glove box door ( glove box and door one unit) you will see it on top of heater box.

AC & Heater Fan on fast spped only

Most of the time this is a bad "blower motor resistor". It is easy to replace. You will find your behind the glove box in the ac/heater (evaporator) housing. Below is a pic of the resistor as it is seen from behind the glove box. 1. resistor assembly. 2. harness 3. fasteners (2). 4. lower edge of glove box. (open).
