Make sure park is fully engaged, shift in and out of park a few times, there is an interlock that keeps the key from comming out unless the park position is fully engaged, this may be sticking or be defective or out of adjustment..

Key will not turn to start vehicle.

Try pushing in the key while turning the wheel either way. And jiggling it. This happens because the steering locks for the car's protection. If we park it with the wheels turned, it locks in that position. If that does not work, you may have to call a good mechanic to help you.
