    The code your getting, according to my '01 FSM, is a Transmission Control Module code.
    Specifically it states;
    "No CCD/J1850 messages received from the electronic transmission control module (EATX) or the Aisin transmission controller."
    Now, as far as what that means in english? I can't really help you there. But now at least you have someplace to start looking.
    How's the truck performing? Any noticable tranny issues?
    Good luck

A code 1698 means that one or more of the vehicles' computers is not communicating with the others. Have this repaired and the computer(s) reset (engine, transmission, and body) before any other diagnostics. Did you gadges stop working?? As for getting your money back, check you local anti-lemon laws, or if its from a dealer, generaly you can return the car with in 14-30 days with no penelties. Good luck.

Got a weird starting problem with my Citroen berlingo van

Sound like it's starter motor at fault. With you saying it's after a long run there will be a lot of heat in the engine/gearbox this could be causing the starter to stick, like you say after half hour or more it's OK and short journeys you have no problem.

Control panel on chrysler town and country 2008 minivan

No bus message means the instrument cluster lost communication with the C.A.N . serial data network . All the modules (computers) on the vehicle share info. on this network. Your best bet ,take it back to the dealer . Having the module's checked for code's would point to a problem .

Hi i have a 1994 dodge caravan it is leaking oil can this be fix im worry that we would have to save money for a van for my kids thanks

The Chrysler minivan products all had leaking problems. I have had 5 or 6 different Dodge or Plymouth minivans from 88 to 99. How bad is it. The most common thing is Valve cover leaks. Front and rear seals in the engine leak as well as the oil pan gasket. If its leaking a little bit at a time open the hood and look at the front and rear of the engine. Do you see grease and oil that has gone down the sides of the engine? Do you see a lot of grease on the engine with some clean streaks going through it. You may be able to see where its leaking from. If you know someone that knows what their doing have them change the leaky gasket/s. If not you can probably have it repaired for less than buying another van unless other things are seriously wrong with the van.
Hope this helps... Dale

I push the button and the horn sounds to lock but the doors don't lock

I had a similar van come into the shop a few weeks ago with the same problem. There was a code in the body control module in reference to the door locks. I couldn't find any problems so cleared the codes and the locks have worked ever since. First check the fuses, but if you don't find any problems there you will probably have to get it scanned.

1999 Dodge Caravan

A P1698 code is described as PCM Fault, No CCD Messages from TCM Conditions. It's triggered when the key is on, and the PCM did not detect any CCD messages from the Transaxle Control Module (TCM) for 10 seconds. Time for a trip to the dealer unless you feel like inspecting the wires & connectors leading to/from the TCM. Usually I tell people to go to the dealer when there are TCM problems! They can read any codes stored in the TCM that a regular code reader can't get. Good luck.

Rear noise coming from the back of my minivan

well usually this called detonation, also known as pinging. In most cars, this is caused by advanced timing or incorrect fuel octane. In your case, timing cannot be changed so going to a higher octane fuel will help. If you can find some, get some combustion chamber cleaner and add it to your gas. Sometimes, carbon deposits can cause pre-ignition/detonation
