Question about 1991 Lincoln Continental
The headlights and dash lights (probably tail lights, but I don't see them) on my 2005 Trail Blazer dim and brighten as I'm driving. Tomorrow the dealer is replacing the alternator for the fourth time in less than two years, the third time in less than three months. You can track the dimming and brightening if you watch the battery gauge. It cycles up and down just a little above and below center. The first time I had to go in twice before they said it was the alternator, now I think they replace it only because they don't know what else to do. Once replaced the problem stops, but the amount of time between replacement is getting shorter. I bought the car new, so I didn't inherit someone elses problem.
Do you have any kind of entertainment systems hooked up to the battery for instance the subwoofers in my car constantly make my lights dim and brighten if i have them loud enough
