You will not gain anything from "double clutching", The thrust bearing is not fully seated. Normal wear would indicate a high catch point on your pedal. Check the fluid level for the clutch cylinder, check the reservoir cap, look for any moisture under the cap. If it has gotten below the add mark, you may have air, any moisture, flush, refill and bleed. Any of these would create a low pedal...Lube your clutch linkage.
Tip: you can purchase and install aftermarket lubrication kits for
the thrust bearing that will help clutch operations and extend life...
MG's ...keep um on the road!
Good Luck....i hope this helps

U can drive it but double clutch the trans when u shift to reduce the grinding, is this a cable or hydraulic actuated clutch? if it is hydraulic you may just need a new master or slave hydraulic cyinder and not a whole clutch, not sure on type of clutch since this car is not sold n the USA, and most of us experts are here.

My hyundai tucson is making quite a loud rattling sound at low revs but disappears around 2500 revs. it's worse in high gears

It may be worth looking at the timing belt tensioner pulley bolt to see if it hasn't worked loose, the belt may be about 3/4" of slack, which could cause the belt to slap against the inside of the cover at low rpms. It can also slowly shave away the backing of the belt. There could be about half a cup of timing belt dust/shavings collected in the bottom of the lower timing belt cover.

How do you adjust the clutch on a 2000 golf se tdi 1.9

Renew the clutch cable its a auto adjust mechanism and the cable comes with a plastic tie around the middle bit so fit the cable and then and only then remove the tie ,this is a difficult job and not easy for a weekend mechanic so be warned

I have a 1994 Saturn SC 2 manual and sometimes it does not want to go into 1st gear, and I have to pop the clutch several times before t will go into first gear. What can I do to fix this?

sounds like gear linkage on top of gearbox under car. should be adjustable. simple job. if not, could be an internal gearbox problem. ie. dogs in gearbox worn. big job. or could simply be a clutch problem. difficult without driving car.

Could be about to fail. The point where the clutch "bites or grabs" is normally half way from floor to top position.

call Chrysler and see if this is a factory defect .a clutch should never wear out that fast unless you drive with your foot on the clutch peddle all the time, also the clutch might have been installed wrong or even worse not at all, isnt the work warranted?

This sounds like you may have a leak in the hydrulics of the clutch, the clutch slave is not disengaging the clutch all the way, this is the reason for the low bite pedal and hard to get gears, the most common problem is the fluid is low due to a leaking slave cylinder, i would look around the clutch components for a leak, hope this helps.

Clutch bites very low sometimes difficult to change gear with foot right down only just disengages

without knowing what your vehical is i will give you 2 solutions, First, If its a hydrolic system? Look to see if there is fluid in resivour if not fill it and try again you may have to bleed the system, Look for leaks. If thats not your system? Replace the clutch. Its worn out

May be you should make sure all the oil levels are good and especially the tranfer oil and check the drive shaft's center bearing as well.
