I suspect that your fuel system is faulty. Check for a clogged fuel filter, or if your fuel pump don't run at all, replace the "fuel pump relay". Sometimes your fuel pump will run, but be too weak to hold pressure, which will let your car idle somewhat, but be too weak to run the engine at speed or under load.

You don't make it clear whether the engine stops while you are driving or whether you have stopped and the engine has refused to idle?
If it is an idle problem it could be temperature related, slow warm-up or an inaccurate sensor or a maintenance item such as a sticking or defective idle air control...
The PCM (power control Unit) controls the idle speed base in input from various sensors, one of them it's the coolant temp sensor, this sensor may be telling the computer that the engine it''s too cold and the computer will keep the idle up to help the engine warm up faster
check the cold start valve ( 5th injector). and also for a plugged up egr valve or tube. I know if a coolant tempurature senser goes bad it sends wrong info to pcm and it thinks engine is already warm. check coolant sensor, and if light is on get it scanned.
Most likely has a cooling fan not working, check for a bad relay for the cooling fan ,and the high side pressure switch,it is in a high side line,it tells the cooling fans to come on.
