YES U HAVE WHAT WE CALL A "DEAD SHORT TO GROUND" CHECK THE ENGINE WIRING HARNESS FOR WORN PLACES AND BARE WIRES, ALSO LOOK AT THE EXHAUST SYSTEM AND MAKE SURE NO WIRES ARE LYING AGAINST IT AND BURNED THROUGH TO SHORT OUT, GO UNDER THE TRUCK AND LOOK THERE AS WELL, THIS PROBLEM WILL BE THE ENGINE HARNESS SOMEWHERE, PAY PARTICULAR ATTENTION TO ANYWHERE THE WIRING RUNS CLOSE TO METAL ENGINE COMPONENTS. THERE IS ALSO A POSSIBILITY THE ELECTRIC FUEL PUMP IS SHORTED, BUT THIS IS MUCH LESS LIKELY.

97 nissan pathfinder dash and tail lights keeps burning out the fuse i know theres a short but where is the best place to look

I have to ask, what was the last thing you were hooking up before the problem started. Did you do any wiring under the dash possibly a radio install, or a wiring harness for trailer at the back of the car. If so, you should look for shorts in those areas. I don't know how easy this will be for you, but start looking.GOOD LUCK FRIEND.

New starter and battery, and no power on a 2003 Toyota Corolla

I am not familer with this exact car but 2 things to look for, Many of the Jap cars have a main fuses. usually located near the battery, ina small fues box there will be a wire that attaches to the positive batt cable that goes to this little fues box It usually powers the IGN circut which powers the starting circut. .. on Americsan cars they use a fuseable link which is a piece of wire that burns out when a live positive wire is shorted out. in place of burning the whole wiring harness. its easy to see this problem since the wire will be burnet in half..

Being that this happened tells me that you have a short probably at or near the starter.that is blowing the fuse or burning the fuseable link. Look for this short or it will just burn out the fuse again.

Well, if the link is burning, something major is wrong, replace the link alone and it would certainly fail again. I suggest that you pull the alternator and get it bench tested. I suspect diode problems...

1996 chevrolet beretta 2.2 l sfi ohv 4cyl i keep burn up alt. on the car and the + ter. that bolt up to the big post on the alt. is getting hot

This might not solve your problem but with the chevy beretta there is a fusable link(8 guage wire) that connects from the battery to the alternator. The wire is there so if there is a surge through the electrical system that fusable link gets burned and not your alt. If your alt. is getting burned up you possibly have a fusable link that is to big and is allowing to much surge go into the alt. I had the opposite problem with mine. I had a to small of a wire so the fuseable link kept burning up. We spiced it three times before it stopped burning up. I hope this helps

I believe the starter is coming to the end of its life.
It would keep drawing more and more amps to keep it turning the more it wears out.
I would take the starter out, take it to the autoparts store for testing.
