Gear box making niose

May seem obvious but its your gear box, if you can successfully shift into first, slowly release clutch without hitting the gas your engine should slowly wind down and bog out, if it does it immediately without a winddown it could be clutch but generally any grinding when slipping into gear is a sign your gearbox needs replacing

Fourtrax a/t transmission slip with gear noise

Maybe the ****** fluid is LOW. I had a car once and when the ****** fluid got low, every turn i took was like being in neutral. It is just because the fluid goes to the one end of the transmission when turning. Check the fluid level and if low, top 'er up and watch for leaks!

98 Jeep Wrangler will shift when off but not while running makes grinding noise.

There is something wrong with the clutch. Make sure that there is enough clutch fluid in it. For some reason the clutch isn't disengaging like it should, so you are grinding the gears in your transmission, making that awful noise. You want to get it looked at before you ruin your transmission by stripping the gears.

WHen under load the motor revs up and it seems that the Clutch is slipping, it has 100000miles and I suspecting the clutch or the high / low range might be messed up, its a 4 plus 3 manuel transmission.

If it feels like the clutch is slipping, chances are it is. If there was a problem in any component that has internal gears, you would have grinding noises. Gears cannot slip. As the clutch wears more you may hear grinding when you try to change gears but that is because the clutch won't fully disengage so the gears are spinning too fast to shift properly. Before that happens, have the clutch replaced.

Transmission making noise and speedodometer quit, my 1995 corolla the speed odometer quit, the transmission starting making noise and went out of gear and back, is my tranmission broken and or repairable,...

The slipping could be low fluid. If you have an automatic, You didn't mention the type transmission, check the fluid and add if needed. If you have a standard you need to get to the check plug under the vehicle. You check that level by removing the plug and sticking your finger in the hole. The fluid should be to up to the bottom of the check hole. The transmission is most likely repairable and cost will depend on whether it is a Manual or Automatic and what actually needs to be repaired. This could be a simple adjustment to the bands and solenoids in the transmission or a clutch issue but you won't know till you take it to a shop. The speedometer could be a broken cable or broken speed sensor, both are repairable and actually don't cost that much. Another possibility is the speedometer itself having a broken spring inside.

2003 Hyundai Tiburon making a weird noise

Hello mpolci...The 2003 Tiburon was sold to the public with a defective clutch, it failed due to warpage and bad pressure plate... among other things. There are MANY class action lawsuits. Did you resurface or replace the flywheel when the clutch was replaced? Did you go with an aftermarket clutch kit, or factory? Also the slave cylinder on the 03 was known to have a defective valve.
You can try checking the levels and bleeding the system and if you still have problems, then it could be a release bearing, a loose clutch pad, or a broken pressure plate spring....If the clutch is still under warranty, i would return it to the installer.
Good luck, i hope this helps...please rate me a fixya.

Reverse gear has grinding noise...?

Have them flush the fluid out under warranty and put in new fluid, and have them bleed the clutch lines in case air is getting in there. Audi and VW claim lifetime transmission fluid but it's BS - I've changed relatively low mile fluid from these cars and it was horrendous. It's possible that the fluid itself is causing trouble, but it's more likely that it is a synchro problem. If it was a clutch issue, you should have problems with more than just reverse gear - a clutch simply engages and disengages the engine and transmission, regardless of which gear it is. The problem (if not fixed by fluid) is in the transmission, and being under warranty, don't accept another "suggestion" like they're giving you. Changing your clutch isn't gonna do it.
