The thermostat is under the housing at the bottom of your top rad hose. Held in by 2 bolts.

How do I remove and re install the CPI unit and gaskets on a 1998 Chevy Blazer with Vortec V6

You have to reove the upper plenum. that is the part on top of the intake that looks like a dome on top of the lower intake. There is 8 10mm bolts around the outside of the dome part. the disconnect the fuel lines at back of lower intake and remove the cpi unit.

Starting problems after driving for awhile

Sounds like starter is on its way out. Heat from the exhaust heats the starter armature and creates high resistance in the windings

Our fuel pump stopped working on our 98 Chevy Blazer V6 4.3L Vortec Engine, so we bought a new one. A couple days later (before replacing the fuel pump) it started up and ran but ran crappy. So we did

what did you do (replace it) if you still have a miss you may need to tune it up / make sure the fuel pump you bought is for the right psi for your blazer

How do you change a thermostat in 1998 blazer

The thermostat is under the fitting with the upper radiator hose on. Remove the 2 bolts replace the thermostat, add coolant. Allow the engine to heat up with the radiator cap installed on the lock position not fully tightened. The air in the system will purge out into the reservoir. Fill the reservoir to the hot line when fully heated and no air is coming out anymore.

1998 blazer will not start

there is a tube system on the vortec under the mainfold the delivers the fuel called the spider and these are known to start leaking on higher mile engines, if there is any fuel in the engine oil you need to fix asap or bearings will get ruined and engine will be needing rebuild.

How can I locate the blend door for the heater/defroster

Well FOR THE FIRST PROBLEM YOU PROBABLY NEED TO REPLACE THE THERMOSTAT IT IS MORE THAN LIKELY CLOSED SHUT NOT LETTING COOLANT INTO THE BLOCK TO CIRCULATE THE HEATED COOLANT 2ND THE UNIT IN WHICH CONTROLS THE TEMPERATURE OF THE INSIDE OF THE VEHICLE IS OR MAY BE BAD I WOULD START WITH THE THERMOSTAT FIRST BEING THIS IS USUALLY A MORE COST AFFECTIVE SOLUTION GOOD LUCK!
