Question about 2003 Ford Excursion

My 2002 Ford Ranger has CDs stuck in the multi-disc player

Someone loaded discs with paper labels, which tend to get stuck. Would you have any ideas? I tried to disconnect the battery thinking the A/V system would somehow re-set. Didn't work!! Thank you for your time,
Deb

Take another cd and push the stuck one all the way back then try and eject it. If it doesn't come out right away do the process again this time when you hit eject take another cd and push down or up on it. Wiggle it around so it catches the rollers in there. Using CDs with homemade labels causes jams when the stickers peel up.

Unfortunately the only real way to actually fix this is to replace the radio. An electronics repair shop may be able to fix the radio and retrieve your cds, but usually once they are stuck nobody short of an electronics/radio specialist can fix the unit or unstick the discs.

CDs are stuck and CD player will not work. Factory six-disc radio. New CDs.Third new factory radio with same problem. Any ideas on getting the CDs out?

From everything I've heard, this is a very common problem and can be costly to have repaired. One forum I found had this posting...maybe it will work for you.

"This is what I did to my In-Dash 6 disc CD Player.

Rather that toss the radio like most are saying to do you can try this first.

Pull the radio out and remove the screw on each side and the 2 on the back. Pop off the cover and you can see the CD's. The part of the CD changer may have not fully engaged the CD it wanted to play and it is stuck not knowing what to do. Press on the CD that so that the part that spins the CD is locked into the center of the CD. Leave the top open and plug in the CD player. It should start going through all of the cd's then if the CD error is gone it will play again."

Cd error on my Ford 2004 expedition

I have seen this often..assuming there isn't a CD jambed in it....usually means you have to send it out for repair...its most of the time an internal problem.....you can try first is disconnect the plug at the back and reinstall them and turn it back on...If it still shows ERROR....replace the radio... If its a stuck CD...FORD radios DO NOT LIKE homemade CDs, they are to thick, and labels hang it up...If this is the problem use a "needle nose pliers" and extract it the best you can AND DON'T USE COPIED CD's....hope this helps you..GL

2002 F250 4X4 Supercab CD player stuck

Cd mechanism issue, may be a broken gear.
It would not be able to read discs or load them, or throw them out.

CD player (6 disc changer) "locked up"

Take it to the dealership, your G35 should have a 4 year bumper to bumper on it. They'll replace the radio under warranty most likely.

2004 Honda CRV 6CD player

I had a similar problem with one of my home made CDs in my 6 disc changer. When I got the error sign, I was able to see the edge of the disc sitting in the slot, but it wasn't ejecting.
One my first try, I tried to use two toothpicks (the flat type) sandwiched together to prevent marring the disc when pulling it out.
Didn't work, so I used long needle nosed pliers, wrapped some tissue around the ends and was able to grip and remove the disc.
I had a similar problem with home made CD's in my Ford Freestar/Windstar vans and was able to pluck them out the same way.
Good luck.
