I cleaned my throttle body taken out of the car didn't help

SOURCE: isuzu trooper engine numbers

ok there are several places to look
the door panels stickers
the glove box
the engine compartment
manual
the engine number will be stamped on the block if facing truck it would be on the bottom right hand side between the first and second freeze plug

Hi,

Assuming your 1995 Isuzu Trooper is using the 3.2 SOHC engine, the firing sequence would be as shown here.
. This was originally posted here. An actual image which was originally posted here.

The 1998 Isuzu Trooper is identical to the 1996 & 1997 Troopers with the 3.2L V6 motor. Chilton-Haynes have a decnet and detailed manual for this car. It's available on Amazon.com. That's where I got mine!

The ECU will be fine with a engine rebuild but the 4JX takes a bit longer to start if all the injector oil paths are empty - can be up to 5 or 6 mins of 20 second cranking bursts.
Also if you rebuilt due to diesel in the oil from bad injectors the control valve for the injector oil pressure may be faulty so it wont start.

possibly a coolant leak somewhere above the turbo is what I would suspect. I haven't seen any water cooled turbo's within the automotive industry...

We have here a 95" Isuzu Rodeo 2.8 Turbo, RLF engine. It will run for approx 15-20 min holding rpm @ 1200 then it will slowly die off, and become very hard to start, have changed f/filter, cleaned tan

You could have a secondary fuel filter, it sounds very much like starving for fue, if then it's hard to start then also will be sucking air from somewhere,

If it has the original drivers door, the year is was built should be on the inside of the door where the striker meets the locking mechanism.

Yes you can . Requires some skills but the only bits that dont work after are the speedo and the rev counter .

These can be made to work but its a bit tricky ..

Just installed a second hand engine in our izuzu trooper big horn 3.1 turbo intercooler.engine we brought was not the intercooler but have changed the inlet manifold and all pumps to suit. now cant...

Best bet is to buy a manual on cd.I Bought one on ebay for a 3.1 trooper it was £5 +p&p think the lot cost £6. They are very good and usefull if you have any problems in the future.

Idling speed NA 750, T 720 rpm
Firing order 1-3-4-2
Injection timing NA: 1 deg after top dead centre(ATDC), at top dead centre(TDC) for turbo
Valve clearance (cold): 0.4mm for intake and exhaust.

Identifying a replaced engine in Isuzu Trooper II 1988

It should be on the side of the block 4ZE1 would indicate a 2.6L and yes a 1988 came with this engine with fuel injection.

what makes you think the turbo is gone????there are some switches to check before you come to this conculction .please get this engine double checked before you change the turbo and do not fit a second hand turbo unless you are fully sure its [ok]this problem is quit an expenice .adrian;;;
