I have a 1983 z28 camaro that was origanally crossfire but the last owner put a carbed 305 motor in it, now the altenator sit at the right on the top of the motor and the power steering on the bottom...

The alternator should be top left, not top right. Top right would be for the A/C pump. Belts go like this. Innermost crank pully to power steering. Next pully out on crank goes over the fan and the alternator. Get a throttle cable bracket for a 1982 Camero. That year the engine was carburated. You can also use parts from a Firebird but not a TransAm in those years.

My 2005 nissan altima won't change from park when crunk up. what could be the problem?

Usually a sign of a faulty brake light switch or lock solenoid on the shifter. You may be able to get the shifter out of park by turning the key to the unlock position but not "on".
There may be a button you can push next to the shifter to unlock in an emergency. Check your owners manual.

HOW CAN I CHANGE THE SHIFT KNOB ON MY 2000 FORD EXPEDITION

The shift knob is part of the shifter handle. The overdrive shift button assembly and button cover are replacable seperately. To remove the button, simply pry off the cover, pull out the button and replace. reverse the order to assemble.

To remove the shift handle, remove the ignition cylinder by turning to the run position and pushing a small pin, drill bit or allen wrench into the hole on the bottom of the trim cover hole to release the ignition cylinder. Pull the cylinder out. Next remove the screws from the bottom column trim cover and remove the upper trim. Next, remove the pin from the shifter and disconnect the electrical connector. Replace the shifter and reassemble. Good luck, please ask for more information if you can't leave four thumbs up. Have a great day!

My 2003 aviator gear is locked in park and will not move

check to see if your brake lights work. No? check your brake light fuse. OK? change your brake light switch. Your brake light switch powers the brake / shifter interlock. There is usually a way to bypass the interlock- check your owners manual for bypass button location ( its usually next to the shifter)

Iwas scammed i bought a car w a payment default device

Did you purchase the car from a dealer and making monthly payments? If so, the device is designed to prevent the car from being hidden in the event you miss payments. If you purchased the car from a private owner, then the device should not be installed. Please let me know whether you purchased from a dealer or private owner.

2008 Chevy Impala transmission shift lever locked up...

I had this problem and its common on the impala. There is a manual release button under the shifter trim. Remove the trim and look down and on the passenger side you will see a silver button near the bottom. With the shifter in park push in the button and this will release the shifter. You can drive the car as long as you don't put it back in park. If you do just push in the button and release it again. My problem was a broken wire in the shifter cable. You won't find this release button in the owners manual. After mine was repaired I drilled a inch and one half hole in the passenger side of the console opposite the level of the button in case I had future problems. Just reach in with your finger and push in the button to release the shifter.
