You may have a bad shift position switch.

Does the lever nbot go physically into the position,or does it indicate but not move?check the linkage at the transmission.i would put the unit on a hoist ,disconnect the linkage at the transmission, then move it and see if the gears work.if they do,there is a shift lever/linkage problem.

My 92 Lexus LS400 recently lost all forward gears but reverse works just fine.

You can only perform certain tasks yourself on a transmission. In this case it sounds like you need to visit a transmission shop. On occasion cleaning the oil and filter, making sure the trans is upto the correct level on fluid, may resolve an issue. If it does not then you probably need professional assistance.

You shoould visit a good independent rather than a lexus specialist as they will almost certainly charge an arm and leg for labor

GOOD LUCK

Why won't My 2000 Lexus es300 go into reverse or neutral?

Probably the stick that control your transmission has moved. It's not sync. I recommend that you take it to a specialist.

2003,dogde neon, shakes when in drive,,i put it in netral,it stops?

Hello Greg, It's only a guess, but I think you might have a misfire on one or more cylinders causing your shaking problem. If your check engine light is on you may want to run a code scan.

Why is a '99 Lexus GS300 does not go into reverse?

The reverse clutch is probably worn out. Transmission needs to be rebuilt.

After changing car battery on my 2001 lexus rx 300 , alarm wont stop

Try to put the put the key in the driver side and turn it to the open position. Like when the car is locked and your gonna unlock it with the key. This method should stop the alarm to go off.
