2002 Honda Passport back wiper and back washer not working

I have a 2002 Honda Passport. Back wiper stopped working after an hour of use. wash button also not working at the back wiper. We went to Oklahoma and on our way back it was really raining hard so my husband asked me to turn on the wiper at the back. I slept until we got home. When I use it the following morning the wiper is not working anymore. Can you help me also on how to have the back washer for the wiper work? I got the honda second hand so I do not have any knowledge on where the washer for the back is.

on the wiper arm for the front, which you move up or down a few places, there should be a collar to turn that sprays the back is an emblem with what looks like the top of an open book.

the passport is not sold in canada so i am using the similarity to the c r v . any honda dealer would be happy to show you where the thing is for no charge. the fuse box is usually lower left dash and there are a couple of fuse boxes under the hood close to the battery

This is actually an Izuzu. I have the same problem with my wiper. The sprayer is the button below the rear wiper button next to the rear window defroster. Just hold down the button. It should just trickel out if its like my 01 passport. Hope this helps. If you find the solution to the wiper problem email me at

Fix windshield wipers on a 2000 Honda Passport. they only work in wash mode, pumps no fluid and swipes back and forth a couple times I have checked and replaced fuses no use .. so what now?

Sounds like you either need to replace the washer pump or you have a hole in the tubing letting your fluid spill out or it could be letting air in the line depending on where the hole is.

Im working on a 1999 Honda passport v6 4wd. The rear wiper motor doesnt work, I replaced the wiper motor with a new one. Still doesnt work. I inspected the wiring and found no physical damage. The rear...

Richard, I am actually going through some troubleshooting with the rear wiper on my 98 Passport. Mine runs . . . it just doesn't stop where and when it should anymore. There are some Rodeo/Passport enthusiast sites that have some threads on this. Many of them refer to replacing the Alarm Control Module (where the wiper relays are) or just removing/replacing the bad relays on the board if you know how to solder.

I've never soldered before in my life, but I replaced the relays on my Alarm Control Module the other day. Unfortunately it did not fix my problem--so I may have a bad motor or switch. But it might be worth a shot to look at the relays as your next item. It took me a couple hours to do it, but it wasn't too terrible once I figured out what I was doing.

Here is a link to the forum that helped me:

You might be able to find a workshop manual online.

the rear wipers are controlled through this. It;s behind the passenger side kick panel.
