Lol, you won't sound like a dip! Saabs were developed to confuse the mightiest mechanics!

I would really suggest buying a shop manual for it. Sometimes they help, sometimes not.

You'll need a small door panel removal tool, which you can pick up at just about any auto parts store.

When you get it off, it will be quite obvious if the window has slipped partially out of the regulator; it will also be evident if the regulator has slipped or come loose or is out of adjustment.

You can plan on some time, as getting it aligned absolutely correctly will make you gnash your teeth, but you can do it. I wish to the best of success! If you still have questions, write us back.

Rear power windows not working

One common problem that occurs with faulty power windows is a faulty Chrysler Town and Country window motor. You can obtain access to your Town and Country window motor by removing your interior door panel, where you will also find your window regulator.

The window regulator is a collection of gears and arms that controls the up and down motion of your windows, and your window motor is the component responsible for turning those gears when you press your window switches. If your windows are not working, your first step should be to determine whether the problem lies with your window regulator, or your Chrysler Town and Country window motor.

You can often do this by listening when you press your window switch. If you hear a humming or a grinding sound, this usually means that your window motor is still trying to work, but your regulator is stuck. However, if you don't hear anything at all, then there may be a problem with your fuses, your wiring, or your Town and Country window motor. Over time your window motor may develop problems due to grime buildup, or simply wear and tear through normal use. You will find a full line of Chrysler Town and Country window motors right here in our online catalogue, along with the fuses, wiring, window switch kits, and window regulators you need.Enjoy our great low prices and fast reliable shipping on all Town and Country window motors as well as all of our high quality auto parts and accessories.

Driver side window makes a loud popping sound when you roll it up on my 1997 Honda CR-V. The window leans forward when its up leaving a gap by the door jamb

Sound like you have a bent window regulator. This will cause the window to "pop" out of place. The regulator is inside the door bolted to the bottom of the window in two places. You need to remove the door panel, unbolt the window, slide the window out, and disconnect the rest of the regulator. I think the window motor is replaced with the regulator as the same part. also a good idea when replacing the regulator is to replace the window run channel. it is the rubber molding that the window rides in inside the door and window frame. Good luck, Hope this helps you!

Window switch works all windows but the driver's. motor does nothingneed to get motor out.

it is an 18 year old car, meaning everything is entitled to wear out, including the window regulators.
the driver's window is almost always the first to go........go figure. buy a new regulator, not just the motor, take it to a glass shop and have them install it for you. parts stores and ebay are good places to get regulators cheaper than a dealer.

Passenger window won't cycle up on 2001 chevy silverado 1500

If you can hear some noise on the door when switch is pressed that means you have power on the motor . The window regulator works with steel cable on plastic pulleys so what you have to check is if the cable is on the right place or if there's any broken pulley . The best choice is replace the window regulator and that will cost you about $50.00 @ local auto parts store . If you can't hear any sound could be a blow fuse , bad switch or a bad motor on the window regulator that will came on the new window regulator . Hope this help
