Stalled...battery and check gages lights came on

Hello. We've had our '94 Suburban (110k miles on it) for about a month and have, up until now, only had some tailight issues. However, tonight, as I was making a right turn onto my street, the truck stalled (I guess) and the battery and check gages lights came on. I was able to coast to the side of the road and I turned the vehicle off. It restarted immediately (no lights came on that shouldn't) and I pulled it into the driveway. Now what do I do? First thought is the alternator, but wondering what else could be going on?

Thank you for the tip...will do that in the morning.

Well, we're back to square one. The truck stalled the next morning on a right turn (again)...but we went on the assumption that the gas guage was inaccurate (it said we had about 1/10 of a tank) and filled it up. We checked the battery and alternator and all looked fine. We truly thought we'd found the problem and have been driving the truck trouble free ever since...until today...

Full tank of gas and it stalled making a right turn into a parking spot. It started right back up without a sputter and hasn't done it again.

We're going to now look into those fuel lines and filter.

Check your battery posts and ground connection.

This is a troubleshooting test you should try and let me know what happens.

Take a good look at your ground and hot cable at the battery post for tightness all the way down to the frame and shake those wires to see if something happens while the engine is running.

Also, you may want to check your fuel lines, to make sure they have not clogged, have you had the fuel lines cleaned? This is also a possibility..

1996 chevy 3500 7.4 vortec. the ecm fuse blows at the turn of a key

One of the power wire going from your ecm to a sensor or solenoid is shorting to ground. Get a wiring diagram and an ohm meter. disconnect the battery and start checking each wire measuring from the wire to ground. as you wiggle you will see the meter show 0 ohms when it is shorted. These are the hardest and most time consuming kind of electrical problems .good luck
