Castrol Tection or their new Elixion is the oil I recommend for diesel. With the regard to the oil leak, I am a tech and don't recommend putting any magic additive quick fixes in engines. If something can block an oil leak it could block a very important oil lubrication chanel in you engine and cause something to seize.
I hope this helps.

STP have been making good fuel additives for a very long time so I would say STP Diesel injector cleaner.

Hello I'am a mercedes tech. when I service a deisel engine I never put syn. oil in a diesel because it is thin and I don't care what you do all disels leak oil because they have very high compression. I use 20/50 valvoline. As far as your fuel inj, cleaner we use techroline from chevron and when I service the fuel filters I add a filter full of transmission fluid( atf dex. merc.) it helps unclog and properly lube your mechanical fuel inj. I fill the big metal canister 1/2 to 3/4 full of a.t.f.. Also check your inj. return hoses they often leak. they are the black hoses running from the fuel rack to the injecter. replace if oily. If you have miner seap of engine oil do not worry too much about it that is why your car has that huge incapsulation panal underneath the engine and trans. If you have a good leak I would pressure wash the engine and inspect it for leaks. If you can,t find the leak add oil dye and inspect with blacklight. Just moniter the oil level. There is a spec. as far acceptable amount of oil consumption. I believe it is something like 1 quart for every 1,000 miles. You can take it to m.b. shop and have it set up for an oil consumption test if you are not sure. I hope this might help you with your questions.

Hello my fuel pump pressure, maybe weak, if so how do i fix the problem. I have a 1985 Mercedes-Benz 190D. Please, if someone can give me some advise what to do. Thank You

I just had the same problem with my Chevy S10 Pickup. I changed my fuel pump myself, and that solved the problem. Fuel pumps can range in price, depending on if the sending unit is sold with the pump or without. If it is something you can do yourself, I would recommend it. You will save yourself a lot of money, otherwise look at spending about three to four hundred dollars for a mechanic to do it. It is pretty simple, and you SHOULD buy a mechanics book for your car, which you would find at any auto parts store. You may need to buy a few tools, but that cost is pretty low.
Three years ago, I had a mechanic replace my pump. It cost me 450 dollars, not including the cost of the pump.
I just replaced it again a couple of weeks ago. The pump was $240, tools were $40. So, that is why I would recommend you do it yourself if you need to save money.

Check your fuel pump pressure. You can rent a fuel pressure gauge from autozone and check pressure coming from supply pump. I bet its weak. Hope this helps.

Vacuum diagram of Mercedes 190D, 2,2

neto 190D: You are asking about a vacuum diaphragm?
I'm going to take a WAG.. Your engine won't shut
down with the key?
If so, he is the way you find out:
In your injection pump, the vacuum diaphragm which kills the engine is the one which has the fitting pointing parallel to the ground.
The vacuum line which serves it is a brown/blue
To check the system, first check for vacuum in the line. Run the engine for a minute or so. Cap off the brown/blue line.
Turn the ignition switch off and then with hose in hand, uncap it and you should hear a hissing sound. If you have a vacuum guage, obviously, use it for the test, you need a minimum of 10 inches to kill it.
To test the pump diaphragm, you can rig a vacuum line to a known vacuum source close to the main "T". Run the engine and with the line connected to the diaphragm, connect it to the good vacuum source, if it kill the engine, the diaphragm is good. If you have a hand vacuum pump it would be more ideal, because you could check the diaphragm for small leaks.
If the diaphragm is bad, it is easy to replace on the pump.
The shutoff diaphragm lists for $86.00
Is my shot in the dark correct?
