Does the car have a moon roof? Easiest way to check for a leak is to sit inside of the car and have someone spray the car down with water. Look for water running in. Look under the car for holes in floor or missing rubber plugs.

Sometimes water gets in under the dash from a leak around the winshield and the lower drain trough.remove the wiper arms, and the cover at the bottom of the windhield. rust, bad grommets or plugged drains can cause an overflow.

Water pump leeks from holes.does that mean the fan in it isn't turning

The front seal is leaking on the pump. The internal impeller will still be turning. You need to replace the water pump before you loose enough coolant causing the engine to overheat

Replaced water pump but cant find where to plug sensor back in

You didn't say what sensor, or whether it is 4 or 6 cylinder. Assuming you are talking about the water temperature sensor, it is located (from standing over the front bumper) on the top, right side of the lower intake manifold. You will see it by looking under the bulge of the upper half of the intake manifold, the part with the air passages. It mates onto the lower intake manifold, which has water cooling passages, making it an ideal location for the water temperature sensor.

Mitsubishi shogun 1998 model 2.8 over heating no leeks water is blowing back into the overflow bottle when hot

How are you sure it is overheating? Temp gauge? Most likely are stuck thermostat, bad fan thermostat switch, bad fan. bad head gasket. Coolant going into overflow when hot is how that system is suppose to work. As it cools, fluid is drawn back into radiator. It it is not really overheating, bad radiator cap can allow coolant into reservoir more than normal.

Water floor after hard rain

If you have a sunroof I would start with looking at the drain tubes take a solo size cup of water and open the sunroof now pour the water in the tracks it should start to pour out in the front behind the wheel and in the back in front of the wheel if not the drain tubes my be clogged causing it to overflow the best way to clean out the tubes would be to use a hose our blow compressed air into the hose but not to hard as you could pop the hose out of its place

Dodge 318 v8 coolant leak

It could be coming from the timing cover. On older 318 engines there is a water passage on each side of the timing cover between the pump and the block. If the timing cover decays it can allow coolant to leak into the timing cover, which usually goes into the crankcase.

1998 for expedition 4.6 engine leaking water beteen the back of the motor and the transmission

Not very likely, check the coolant passage between the cylinder heads. (The front part of the intake, right behind the alternator) That piece which is part of the intake manifold has been a source of coolant leaks for many vehicles like yours. The alternator is pretty easy to remove... Disconnect the negative battery cable, turn the belt tensoner to remove the belt from the alternator, take out the two long 10mm bolts under the alternator and the three on top. I would check for leaks there because it was a common problem area, coolant would leak behind the alternator, fill the space under the intake manifold, and leak down right where the transmission bell housing is. There are expansion plugs, and allen plugs on the back of the cylinder heads, but they rarely leak.

Water on floor of 2000 camaro convertible. Where from?

If it's on the front passagers side, it might be the A/C drain is plugged, jack up the car and look for a black hose coming out of the bottom of the fire wall (right side behind the tire), get a good light, take a thin plastic or metal rod and clean it out,
Also the heater core is right there in the same area, much more expensive to repair, is the water clear or green/orange ?

Seat Alhambra 1996 1.9L water leak drivers footwell

the water can travel along surfaces or beams in the car so you cannot tell where it is actually leaking. in my ford windstar water leaked in right over the fuse box. it ran along a cross beam from the passenger side. if it has those plastic strips they use to go in between small gaps in the metal... like along the roof where the roof is and the metal of the sides joins it is likely they are leaking. best to take a garden hose and have someone inside the car with a flashlight on the floor looking for leaks
