Trunk light may be staying on. you need to remove rear seat to get to the lock so you can open it again. Best way to do this is to leave the rear seat out (for air, just in case) and get in the trunk (with tools so you can get out if you need to.) That way you can see what the lock is doing and if the light is on closed. Have someone stay there while you are working so if you have a problem, they can help. (from experience... I once spent two hours under a car with a very heavy transmission on top of me!!! A long time ago but you don't forget stuff like that.)

I would have to guess that the trunk light is on all the time and that is what is draining your battery. On the other hand it could have nothing to do with the trunk and you could just have a bad battery. I'd say take it to a body shop to get the trunk fixed, also have an auto parts store check your battery.

After changing alternator in 95 cadillac deville the heat doesnt blow at all

The alternator does not have anything to do with the blower fan for heat. You may have unhooked a wire by mistake, or you have a blown fuse. God-Bless!

Hello. There is automatic fuel shut off switch. When the car is in an accident like you were. The switch trip and turn off the fuel. There should be a red button in the trunk on one of the side panels. If not, call the dealership and ask them were the auto fuel shut off button is located. Also, it might in your vehicle owner manual. GB...stewbison

My power locks trunk and fuel tank dont work

This happened to me, someone had accidentaly switched the button inside the glove compartment to lock, which locks everything except a few items for the Valet key, keeping trunk, locks and fuel door closed until that silly button is put back in original unlocked position. Goofy, but I suppose it's a good feature for some, sure had the Cadillac guy concerned for about ten minutes until he remembered that stupid lock out option inside the glove compartment!

Engine not getting gas

Without crawling inderneath our car to look, I'd say the tire hit your fuel tank and dented it or tore a hole in it. The fuel pump and fuel guagesending unit are in the fuel tank, and the pump itself sits pretty much at the bottom of the tank. If the chunk of tire put a big enough dent in the tank, it could dislodge the pump or put it in a spot where it would not pick up any fuel. I once hit a racoon that I couldn't avoid and it ripped the muffler clear off my car. Highway speeds and decent sized objects can cause some pretty serious damage to cars.
