Question about 1997 Toyota Camry
The AC light on our 1997 Toyota Camry flashes on and off. The AC usually works fine in the morning and at night. The air is really cold when the AC is working. However, when the outside temperature goes over 100 or so, the AC light starts flashing and the AC won't work. For instance, it will work fine on our way to the restaurant for lunch, but won't work on our way back. It used to be that if we turned off the car couple of times, it would start working again. But that's not a sure thing anymore. I think the problem is getting worse.
The compressor is new (replaced it in Feb 2008), the mechanic has also checked the Freon levels and few potential electrical problems. He couldn't figure it out so we let it go last year. But it has gotten worse in the past few weeks. Any solutions?
Please take the car for diagnosis and the revealed codes will definately lead u ahead.
See that your AC condenser is not dirt blocked too.
