OK, here is all u need to do, the long push rods are for the exhaust valves, the short ones are for the intake valves, which paticuliar cylinder they came from is not important.

Didnt put master cylinder rod in pushed brake down now wont come back up

The master cylinder has springs in it to return the piston. The piston pushes the rod and the rod returns the pedal. Just put the rod in and it should work

You are thinking too hard.

It is VERY simple. The Intake valve push rods (marked with ORANGE paint) are shorter than the exhaust valve push rods (marked with BLUE paint) If you cannot see the paint, you can always stand them up next to each is pretty obvious which ones are which.

BOTH heads are EXACTLY the same - they are interchangeable. It is just that one is turned one way and the other is turned the other way so the exhaust and intake ports will be on the correct sides. (intake port towards the center of engine, exhaust port to the outboard sides of the engine.) You do not need to go searching the internet for some "order". All you have to do is LOOK AT THE HEAD to tell which valve is intake and which valve is exhaust.

So then it is as simple as: Put the short push rods on the intake and the long push rods on the exhaust....

I need to know the order that you tighten the rocker arms.# 1 piston is at tdc, which int exh valves need to be tightened before i rotate the engine.then which follow suit.i replaced the pushrods so my...

adjust the valves in the order the cylinders fire one cylinder at a time turning the motor for each,slightly loose.start the car and let it warm up a bit then adjust the valves while running.most techs go down one side then the other. you don`t say what motor it is,but some motors valves rocker arm nuts are torqued so you can torque the rocker nut for all the cylinders,then start the car and let it run so the lifters will pump up and thats all you have to do with this type of system,as there is no other adjustment to do.

No spark indicates four possible places,
1 The ignition module
2 The crankshaft position sensor
3 The camshaft position sensor
4 The coil

Push rod order

when you take them out it's a good idea to keep them in a certian order that you will remember but im guessing that you didnt. its not really a big deal, just put them back in however it shouldnt hurt anything

Engine cranks slowly after overhaul

the only thing i can think of is
1. did you check the journal clearance to the main and rod caps? if this isnt within specs could be too tight.
2. did you put the rod caps and main berring caps on the same way you took them did you mark every thing 1 for #1 2 for #2 ect. if you installed the berring caps the oppsite way or didnt keep them in order some thing could be out of round causing tightness.
3. the same goes for pistons.......the mark should be pointing front for all. (ch approiate engine rebuild for info)
i would recomend trying to remove all spark plugs and try to turn the engine by hand( DO NOT TURN IT BACKWARDS>see which way the starter turns the motor) feel how it turns. if its hard then easy some thing is out of round poss installed wrong. personally id take down the pan and check the install. also take valve covers off ck the clearence of rocker arms. check your pushrods valve motion ect. you might also might want to break it down before you do some expensive damage.
tip.....if you didnt mark the rods and main berring caps and might have put them together incorrectly, remove the berrings and look at the honing marks. with patience and a good light you can see if they are lined up(cap and block for mains and cap and rod for connecting rods.) ie the cross marks line up.

Tank Flap - Electric : Will not open

I have a 2003 passat with the same problem, i noticed that the little nipple on the left hand side that releases to open the flap was inside the hole its self .

The book tells you nothing regarding this and i couldnt find on the internet how to get to it other than taking off the guard above the wheel and getting it that way.

I went out today and took the carpet away from the side of the boot closest to where the flap was.

I then saw the flap solenoid which had 2 little wires and a rod attached. The solenoid or motor as i call it was held on by two little bolts which i took off and had look at it but to be honest i had no idea what so ever as to what it should look like or do ha ha.

The rod that is attcahed to solenoid is the rod that comes through the hole to keep flap closed or to release it. I pushed the rod and couldnt see hyow it would release and hold so i took the rod off the motor and pushed the end of the motor that the hook was attached to and it made a noise i hadnt heard before but it was one of those good noises lol i didnt have any wd40 to spray on it as i used this for something else so i used some vaseline to rub on the end where the hooked rod goes onto and put the rod back on.

I then put the bit that comes through to lock or release into position and then bolted solenoid back in place and connected the wire again went to check thinking i am not that lucky and hey presto all mine needed was bit of lube lol and without the dirt and hassle of taking of the guard above the wheel.

Hope this helps as there is no way of opening this manually as i was told this monday when i called vw.
