I turned on my car and my radio/GPS screen is black. I attempted to turn it on and the MBZ logo attempts to load for quick few seconds then turns back off ; temp today is 40degrees F

After stopping at the store and returning to my car...turn the key and everything comes on as usual except the radio/GPS display. I attempt to manually turn on the radio display and the MBZ logo comes on the display and attempts to load for a few seconds and the screen goes black again; The tempt outside is 40 F degrees today

the fuse and power supply box is located on the left side of the trunk behind the little panel. pull the 40 amp fuse for the sound system in that panel in the trunk. I believe its an orange fuse, 5-7 slots from the bottom. should be the only 40 amp fuse on the bottom half of that fuse panel. check the fuse chart behind the triangular panel on the left side of the dash. pull the fuse for 15 seconds and reboot the comand system. if the system doesnt reboot and operate normal, then 1 or more of the audio control modules is taking down the whole system through its fiber optic ring.

SOURCE: intermittent wiper, turn indicator, rear screen demister not work

Electrical problems are rife in these models. Try replacing the relevant relay box - a black box situated in the fuse box bay. This will hopefully solve your problem. Good luck!

SOURCE: 2002 MERCEDEZ CLK 430 Shut off and wont start for atleast 10 mins wait???

Hi there, on the mercedes the crank sensor goes bad frequently. Its between the transmission and the engine on the drivers side about 11 o'clock position. You will need a internal torx 8 to remove the small screw that holds it, once removed see if it has oil on it, if it does change the sensor and get ready to do a engine rear main seal job because its going to happen again but not too soon. Please buy a Bosch crank sensor and no aftermarket, its going to save you future headaches.

2010 Dodge Ram 2500 gas. UConnect Radio with DVD. All of a sudden my radio will not even turn on.

Try disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes. If the radio does not come back after this "cold boot" it has failed internally. Go buy a pioneer with Bluetooth for 1/4 of the radio replacement cost.

I have a 99 a6 quattro i have the code for the radio but when i press rbds and pscan buttons nothing happens it is in safe mode and wont let me do the steps to get out of it!

First of all be sure that your four digit security radio code is correct. If you had attempted three times without success to exit from safe mode by inserting the code, radio is blocked in safe mode for a while. Now turn ON the radio (in safe mode), and let it turned ON for one hour, then follow this procedure.
The sequence of VW radio gamma programming is:
1. Push simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys until on the screen will appear "1000" displayed.
2. Release keys. No more push on "SCAN" and "RDS" keys because otherwise number "1000" will be considered as first safe code attempt.

For example: we have the security code "5079". Then:
3. By the no.# 1 key you will set up the first safe code digit. Push 5 times on the no.# 1 button. The "5" number will be setted.
4. By the no.# 2 key you will set up the second safe code digit. Push 10 times on the no.# 2 button. The "0" number will be setted.
5. By the no.# 3 key you will set up the third safe code digit. Push 7 times on the no.# 3 button. The "7" number will be setted.
6. By the no.# 4 key you will set up the four-th safe code digit. Push 9 times on the no.# 4 button. The "9" number will be setted.
7. Then push again simultaneous "SCAN" and "RDS" keys for confirm this safe code. On the screen will be displayed "SAFE" notice. Release keys! For few seconds a radio frequence will be displayed.

The radio is now ready for use!

This morning when I attempted to start my 2006 Hummer H3, nothing happened. I thought I may have a dead battery but the lights and radio work fine. I then noticed the Passlock security lock light was on...

Hello:Try this procedure: turn key on, turn to start, let key come back to on wait ten minutes, turn key off wait 10 seconds turn key back on wait 10 minutes. turn key off wait 10 seconds turn key back on wait 10 minutes turn key off wait 10 seconds NOW try and start. In addition you might try tapping on switch assembly while trying to start. There is not any way to disable passlock. You might try having the engine control system codes read

My battery died on me the other day and now the radio won't work.

The Accord radio does indeed require a code. Have you tried just putting the code in. If you do not know the code do not attempt to guess, as after a few attempts you will lock the radio for good. I need to know the error message exactly as you see it if inserting the code does not work.

2005 chevy colorado cd problem

Try resetting the radio, turn the radio off and disconnect the battery for 30 seconds. Make sure the RADIO IS OFF OR YOUR GOING TO BE ASKED TO ENTER THE RADIO CODE TO HAVE THE RADIO ACTIVE AGAIN. After the battery has be reconnected, turn on the radio and reset your clock and stations. Your CD plays should be working again too. Good luck and hope this helps.
