If you can fix the Caddy I'm sure you can handle the Mitsu. Go to and buy a subscription for the Mitsu. All the info you need will be right in there. Or I can scan and email the timing chain replacement procedures to you.

How to change timing chain

My best advice is, if you are good working around engines, then the best thing to do is get a repair manual for your car, they will take youstep by step to repair it.
if you are not good working around your engine, then for your Caddy, bring it to a shop to have it fixed, because to replace the timing chain on your Caddy is not the easiest to do, they are a pain in the but to do and I been a mechanic for over 25

How do i set timing chian marks

The marks are on the crank and cam gears. They either have a mark on the head that coincides with the mark on the cam gear AND you set that AND then bring the crank shaft gear to TDC on the timing marks OR you have both marks on the gears and you line them up with each other using a straight edge through the center of the shafts, then you put the chain on.

Replace timing chian cover of a 1980 chey 250

Register for free at You can list your vehicle-or as many as you want-just make, model, year, and engine size-and then you can see repair guides specific to the vehicle you have listed. They should show the procedure for removing the timing chain cover. A lot of their procedures look like they were copied from a Chilton repair manual.

Hello, i replaced the timing gears and chain and water pump , now the trucks starts runs with lots of gas peddel but wont idle do you have any ideas ,adjustment at the dist or no. I cant think of what...

The distributor is only for injector timing.
Do not move it.

94-97 Back Probe 5 Vref Wire at dist.
Tan/Yel Wire

Move dist till you switch from 5 volts to O volt, then lock down

Only do this if you moved dist, during chain replacement or assuming the dist
set timing ,which it does not.

How to replace a timing chain on a 97 nisson altima 2.4

Timing chains are very difficult, even for experienced mechanics. Your local auto parts store should sell repair manuals for about $30 that will guide you through the process if you insist on doing it yourself. There are specialty tools, that you will also need to do the job properly.

I have 97000 mile on my 05 Nissan Altima 3.5 SER the timing chain is making noise if I went over 7500 mile on synthic oil would that make my timing chain go bad the dealership said that is why it is making...

That's a load of **** they are feeding you.The timing chain tentioner has a fault and not tentioning the chian.I think you have done a good thing keeping it on synthetic oil. That causes less wear on moving parts than other oils.
