I have had this car for about 6 months I got it from my uncle. He had the motor replaced. It runs well the only problem I have with the car is when it idles at a light or in traffic, it will shut off. It will restart once I place it in park & turn engine back on. I wanted to know if I put new plugs in myself would that help. Or would I be doing more harm than good?
Sounds like the its not getting enough fuel.

is the check engine light on,always a good idea to change plugs and wires could solve a lot of problems,get back to me if you need more help as i strive to be the best
is it carbureted? or injected?
if is carbureted you might need to tune up the idle speed.
if its injected dont mess with it.....have it check instead of duign your selfs.........
