I have a 92 buick century and had this same problem. My car would stall then after several minutes or hours I would hear my fuel pump kick back on then it would start again, only to stall again a few hours later. After changing many sensors that didn't solve anything. I troubleshooted my electrical system and found a bad fusable link ($3!!!) in the ORANGE wire running off my starter. It wasn't blown, just loose on the inside. I could pull on the wires and my pump would shut off, push in on the wires and the pump would kick back on (get the picture). If not the orange, try the red or all of them. Good luck with this, I hope this helps. I pulled my hair out on this one till I figured it out.

Did u test the fuel pressure before u installed the pump? it is more likely the crankshaft position sensor on the engine is defective, run a trouble code test and see if u have any codes for thei sensor. Go to this web site to read how to run a trouble code test.

Has it been sitting up all winter? If so, you might need to drain fuel from the carb and replace the filter. It sounds like a fuel problem to me.

Car stalls after 10 min of driving.after sitting for an hour i have to turn ignition an crank over 4/5 times before car will start.i change cps, plugs+wires, ignition controll module, mass air flow...

umm... They symptom you describe fits a couple of things that immediately spring to mind.

Try removing your fuel cap and see if this improves matters. If there is a blocked vent (usually in the fuel cap or separate to-atmosphere breather tube, this can cause a vacuum in the fuel tank. This vacuum can cause the car to splutter and stall. Then you have to wait until air slowly finds it way back into the tank before the car can be restarted.

The other thing that springs to mind is a failing fuel pump.

2003 crown victoria cranks wont start, was running fine, just cut out.never started again

As with any no-start situation, you need to know if you have spark to the plugs, fuel to the injectors, and normal compression to proceed.

92 bonneville died on way home from work.wldnt restart right home and fired up for around 3 mins and stalls out...replaced crank and cam sensor...tested fuel pressure its good even when stalls...

Please excuse my ignorance on this american vehicle ,now a renault or a rover? anyway on the fuel line where the injectors are there is a vacumn controlled valve that shuts down with no vacumn so check the pipe and if need be use the same pipe to **** on the other end to check if its holding a vacumn .

92 SL1 Intermitant stalling problem

Fuel pump,Fuel pump, Fuel pump,,, high mile cars will always out live their fuel pump. The stalls will become more frequent. But first change fuel filter if it has one outside the fuel tank, if it has it in the tank just replace the pump at the same time. Also next time when it stalls bang the bottom of the tank with your hand and try starting.
