The water pump on the 1998 Mazda Millenia motors is on the passenger's side of the engine, in the center, under the motor mount, right beside the strut tower. The power steering pump belt also runs the water pump. To replace the pump you will need to remove the timing belt and tensioners, so it is advised to do everything at once when one or the other needs changed.

Have a great day!

98 Mazda Millenia won't start. Belts turn but doesn't seem to get gas. Doesn't seem like fuel pump working. Ran a hot wire to fuel pump, still doesn't appear to work.

Ever consider the fuel pump has failed?

You don't run wires to items to test them

The are many places you can power up a fuel pump,
but you need to check for a good ground connection

You have a 16 year old vehicle, may as well drop the tank &
get involved.

Dose 1998 Mazda Millenia s have fuel shut off switch? and if there is one where it is located?

No, there is no inertia/shut off switch. However, if you have the 2.3 Liter engine, there is an extra relay in the pump circuit. The 2.5 liter model has only the pump fuse and pump relay in the circuit. In both cases, the engine control module turns the pump on and off. The ECM is rarely the cause of a fuel system failure. If there is a problem I can help you with, please explain the symptoms and anything that has been done to the car recently as well as anything you have checked so far.

Where is the fuel pump located on a 1997 mazda millenia?

Mounted on top and inside the fuel tank. If you have to replace it, look for an access panel inside the car above the pump. It may or may not have one. If it does not you will have to remove the fuel tank in order to replace the pump.

Where exactly is the egr valve located on my 1998 mazda millenia

Should be located on driver's side of engine below the intake manifold. Go to the autozone website and register. It's free and you will have access to an online repair manual for the car. The testing and replacement procedures for the EGR valve can be found there. ( I checked). Hope this helps and best wishes.
