I have a 2002 chrysler sebring, I installed a new ignition switch, car starts and runs, but won't turn off or lock, and the key won't come out. CAN YOU HELP ME?

it may be your shift selector its not going all the way in park.
you can adjust it at the transmission neutral safety switch .
loosen the cable bolt at the neutral safety switch then force it in park. with the key on but not running...
the key should be able to be removed out .
then tighten the nut back on the neutral safety switch..
fixed!! its e.z..10 minute job

My 2002 chrysler sebring 2.4L will not start turn key and hear no clicking noise nothing at all, lights and horn work , when i jumped the battery it did nothing no clicking. what should i try next?

Check if you have power at the starter from the ignition key
Try give direct power to the starter, if still not starts, you have a bad starter

Transmission won't engage

There are a number of reasons that is the case: Perhaps the ignition key did not release the transmission lock when you put it in last. Try putting it in and turning it to ignition several times. If that doesn't work, check out the fuses in both fuse boxes for blown fuses.

I have chrysler sebring 2002 and sometimes when I put keys in ignition ... It won't turn .. It comes out And goes in ... After repeatedly trying for few mns ... Than it turns and starts the engine ...

Check with a dealer and see if your keys or ignition are damaged.
if you have a spare key also try that as a well.
Your current key may be too badly worn or bent. a newer one may fix this.

Chrysler sebring code p0513

P0513 stands for invalid SKIM Key. Basically it means that the "computer chip" that is in your ignition key which has a special code is not recognized by your vehcile compter (PCM). In most cases that I have come across is that either your VIN is not entered or is the incorrect VIN programmed into the PCM. Have you recently changed the PCM ? You may try another ignition key but I doubt that would work unless you are using the wrong key for the vehicle. You will need special diagnostic computer programs in order to correct this problem. Most likely your PCM will need to be "Flashed" to the VIN. This really isn't a weekend/backyard/part time mechanic fix. Hope this helps you to understand what the code is and what it means. Guessing the vehicle won't start.....

2002 sebring start/fuel fuse

Sounds like the fuel pump could be shorted or seized. I would begin troubleshooting there. It may need replacing.

2002 Chrysler Sebring Convert wont turnover

If you're not hearing a click from the starter check for a starter relay. May be burned out! DO you hear the fuel pump kick in when you turn the key on? If not something might have triggered your security system and locked you out!
