Checked brakes for possible wheel(s) dragging, as well as tire pressures up to max recommended pressure, and observe if tire wear unusual, signifying improper alignment? Any difference in engine oil grade used?

When I fuel up my oil pressure goes up i.e. 1/2 tank of fuel over 80 on the oil guage at same time fuel consumption goes up drasticaly

Adding fuel to the fuel tank is absolutely unrelated to to any change in engine oil pressure.
The oil pressure will be higher when the engine oil is cooler and lower when the engine oil has warmed up.

If you are experiencing abnormally high oil pressure on start up I suspect you are running the incorrect type and grade of oil in the engine. Only use the oil specification(type and grade) listed by the manufacturer for your engine and nothing else.. If you are unsure what that is then it is specified in your owners manual for the vehicle.

High fuel consumption has also nothing to do with your engine oil pressure. If you are experiencing high fuel consumption then please read and examine these factors..........................

My toyota 7k efi manual transmission.i changed oil filter, air cleaner spark plugs the fuel consumption is very high.than it was at the begining fuel consumption was 15km/pr litre, its now 9km/litre.

check for codes and data readings. check O2 sensor readings, is the thermostat tired and not working properly, this can cause high fuel consumption. take a close look at who and how the car is being driven.

Hoe do I fix high fuel consumption in my car?

IN order to improve fuel consumption you must make the engine run more efficiently. here are the most important ways.
typical maintenance. (check the manual)

1. check air in tires
2. oil and oil filter change
3. spark plugs change (TUNE UP)
4. air filter change

you personally can do most of these things. go to local walmart and get most of these items. very easy.

good luck.

High fuel consumption noticed

Hi Samuel, Have a diagnostic scan carried out on the vehicle. If it does not record any faults have a service carried out, making sure to replace the fuel filter, air filter, oil filter and to use a good quality engine oil. Have the spark plugs replaced and a full tune up carried out. Your problem has no easy answer. An increase in fuel consumption can be for many different reasons. If the fuel filter has become partially blocked you will press your foot harder to get the required performance. It can be related to brakes binding, or worn wheel bearings. An increased fuel consumption can be related to different tyres with different tread patterns having been fitted or even incorrect tyre pressures. It can be related to bad wheel alignment. It can be related to a greater load of out put on the alternator or AC compressor output load. Let me have some more details and we'll see what we can check and hopefully solve the problem. Hi i have a 318i bmw 2001 my fuel consumption is

Last month, my wife complained of high gas usage as well. I suddenly remembered that I had forgotten to change the air filter the last time I did the oil change. It had been over 5 months since I'd put a new one in. So, we got a new air filter, and monitored the usage, and it was back to normal again. Maybe try this?

Very slow to kick in to reverse, first and second gears accompanied by high revving sound. Not a smooth transition to other gears as well. High revving until going. Very high fuel consumption as well. Once...

it sounds like your transmission is slipping. they make this chemical you can get at a part store, its a transmission stabalizer. it should help with the grinding noise and transitions to the other gears. also give your truck a complete tune up (oil change, fuel and air filters, spark plugs etc.) it should help with the fuel consumptions.

Have you changed the fuel filter lately? If not do so. Sounds like fuel restriction. Filter usually on frame rail passenger side. Good luck!
