1990 Isuzu Trooper 2.8L V6 Fuel Delivery (Electrical Problem)

I am getting gas to my TBI however the injectors are not delivering it to the engine. Each injector has a constant power (green wires) and the other wires (one inj. has blue and the other has black w/ blue stripe) show as ground w/ key on engine off with a test light, when the engine is turned over there is no ground. I thought (my first mistake) that these 2 wires should pulse to the inj. I have tried a different ignition switch to no avail. There is also a wiring hookup for a computer but no computer. I have put 178k miles on her with only minor problems. Any input is appreciated. Thank you.

I am having a simalr problem, fuel to the throttle body but the injectors are not firing. I have removed and tested the ign. modual, have replaced the fuel relays and replaced the fuel pump and filter, the old pump was only putting out 20psi. Noid Lights show no signal to the injectors. any suggestions?

Inside the distributor and on the ignition module (7 pin) one of the wires to the camshaft pick-up had pushed out of the connector when I hooked up the new module. I reinserted the wire and problem was solved.

I pulled the Ign. Modual, checked the connections and had the Modual tested. The Modual is good and I used Dielectric greese when re-installing. Still no signal to the injectors or the Fuel Pressure regulator on the TB.

Isuzu V6 sparkplug firing order

gee guy, 3.1L or 3.2L?
you only need 3 things to time the distrib. static.
where is #1, its the most forward cylinder, LOOK carefully.
forward means closest to the cam drive end of engine.
not flywheel end.
rotor rotation direction (crank and watch it)
now the order, 3.2l v6? IS It? the single cam?
1990 trooper v6
answering for only USA car...
our 3.2 has no distrib V6 its DIS.

3.1L V6 USA spec. only. rotor is CCW

1990 isuzu trooper 2 v6 auto poor fuel economy, poor power, oor acceleration, runs like top no oil consumption, whaaaaats wrong please help ?

Check for the catalytic converter being plugged up. The powertrain is actually from GM, and it uses TBI. A plugged catalytic converter will cause all of your symptoms, and yet not trigger a MIL warning light.

What is O2 light censur on my 1992 Isuzu trooper

Hi there,

An O2 sensor (also known a HEGO or HO2s) is an electrical 'probe' which is screwed into your exhaust pipe/s (you will see an electrical wire connecting into your exhaust pipe).

Each exhaust pipe will have an O2 sensors (sometines 2 per side - one mounted in front of the catalytic converter and one after the converter).

An HO2 sensor is responsible for heating up the exhaust gas (when starting vehicle from cold) to aid the computer in delivering the correctly Fuel/Air mixture. Once the engine reaches normal operating temperature, the heater section on the O2 sensor then turns off, providing normal exhaust gas measurement for appropriate fuel/air mixture.

An HO2 sensor is critical in the efficient running of an engine.

Hope this helps,

Cheers,

What is the correct preasure of fuel pump for isuzu trooper II 1989 V6 american version

The engine is a GM 2.8L V-6 with TBI. Typical fuel pressure would be around 28 PSI.

Isuzu trooper starts briefly then dies

check your fuel delivery from the pump to the "dry" pulsing injectors leave the crank sensor alone! open the intake and, spray either (engine start) into the engine then attempt to start; it should start and, run until the either is used up then die. most likely your fuel filters are clogged

Check Engine light goes on and off

run a trouble code test to see what part is causing the check engine light to flash. I would lay my money on an O2 sensor.

1998 350 Silverado will not start

I believe that you have throttle body injection (TBI) Take off the air cleaner and have someone crank the engine look at the injectors and see if fuel is seen..Do you or have you smelled fuel when you were recently attempting to start truck???? if so this sounds like you are not getting spark....if you havent smelled fuel try priming TBI with gas and see if the truck fires...If so you know that problem lies in fuel delivery... On TBI systems it is very important that a conicle spray pattern is delivered by injectors for proper ignition if injector drips fuel into TBI this could cause a no start condition...To see if spray pattern is correct you can use a timing light if available...Hook it up as normal (red positive post and black negative post and pick-up on #1 spark plug wire) point light at injector and have assistant crank engine light allows visibility to spray pattern.....also check the fuel pressure regulator and vacuum lines....Hope this helped you..let me know if I can help anyfurther....Good Luck!!!!
