What does this symbol mean, please =[ ]=, with \\\\ above it

Hi, i have a nissan bluebird 1992 ARX model. I tried starting it and its as dead as a door nail. When i turn the ignition on various lights appear. When i turn the key all the way as if to start it, a little red lighted box appears,It looks like this \\\\ =[ ]= Thats as close as i can get it without drawing it. I have a users guide but its all in Japanise. I would like to know what this symbol means , so that i can sort it out if i can. That would be a great help Thank you Brad
