    Automatic or manual?

I can post both but easier to know which you have to be exact.

Unhook wires at harnesses, unhook hoses after draining fluids, jack front end up, put jack stands under 2 front wheels under the body and position the jack under the main frame that the engine and transmission that the engine and transmission is mounted to, take bolts out of the strut towers on each side, remove 6 main frame bolts, lower jack and roll engine, transmission and frame from under car, you may have to raise back up to fully get it out

Transmission--oil pressure is 60 psi--transmission will not engage in any position--oil looks and smells ok--what ay be the problem--thie 98 6000 wit 135 km.

Well if you have 60 psi at idle then the pump seems to be working. If it holds in park then the axles are not stripped or broken. The input splines in the torque converter could be stripped. Forward and reverse share a set of cluthches and a sprag , you could have a problem in that area.I would guess that the seal is blown on the input clutch piston.

I HAVE A 1987 CUTLASS SIERA 3.8 LITER CAN YOU TELL ME WHERE THE TRANSMISSION SOLENOID IS LOCATED THE CAR WILL NOT SHIFT INTO 2 GEAR

It's grey and has a vacuum hose attached to the top of it. Towards the front of transmission. Check and see if the hose has a leak. You can manually shift it from first to second with the shifter.

How to fix a coail pack on a 1987 Pontiac 6000?

Coil packs are replaced not repaired if found to be defective. ---prev.gif next.gif DISTRIBUTORLESS IGNITION SYSTEMS Starting in 1987, some models came with engines equipped with a Computer Controlled Coil Ignition (C3I) or Distributorless Ignition System (DIS). Fig. 1: Triggering system used on the C3I fast start system 86812034.gif
Fig. 2: Electrical schematic on C3I ignition system 86812031.gif Both DIS and C3I system consists of the coil pack, ignition module, crankshaft sensor, interrupter rings and ignition control module (ICM). All components are serviced as complete assemblies, although individual coils are available for Type 2 coil packs. Since the ICM controls the ignition timing, no timing adjustments are necessary or possible.
