Sounds like one of the freeze plugs has rotted out.

There are two that size. There is a large one in the middle, for the
camshaft. (It isn't a freeze plug, per se, but is shaped like one) Should be 3/8". Your local auto parts store will know. (If not, contact the nearest Ford dealership. Ask for the Parts Department)

I have a 99' chrysler 300m, and I just changed the thermostat. I drained the radiator before doing so, and now I can't get the radiator to fill back up. The reservoir is full, and I let the car run...

If you look AT&T en using on the engine where the upper hose is attached you should see a bleeder valve. Open that valve. Keep it open until you see coolant come out. Then start the vehicle and periodically open it throughout the warm up process to purge any additional air out of the system.

99 300M low side A/C pressure

Generally, low side A/C pressure is measured by a gauge that ranges from 25psi to 45 psi when the compressor is engaged and the engine is running and the a/c is set on its coldest setting.

This is true for most cars on the road today.

2001 Chrysler 300M Engine Light on all the time

Hello, my engine light was on for a VERY LONG time and everytime I got it checked no one could tell me what the problem was because things always checked out fine. The "code" says its a loose gas cap or something, but it wasnt that. My 300M also was having A HARD TIME STARTING UP for about 8 months and leaking coolant for about a month. I finally found a mechanic who knew what he was doing; 1. Leaking Radiator 2. Coolant found in #2 or #3 cylinder. The cause of this was a busted HEAD GASKET. If your 300M has trouble starting and the Engine light stays on have a mechanic check your engine for a busted head gasket and see if all your cylinders are firing correctly. I had to pay $2600 for a new Head Gasket, Radiator and all new hoses plus labor. CRYING!!!!!!!!!!

99 300m overheated--replaced thermostat still over heating. ?? How do I add antifreeze to the engine

hi, you can add two ways, one is threw the the over flow tank and the other is threw the radiator cap. i would flush the radiator soon. you may have sludge build up that is interfering with the flow of coolant.

2001 300m overheating problem.

When the vehicle overheats, do u check the water/coolant level in the radiator? If it has reduced, it means ur leaking and u should inpsect to c where the leak is coming from. If the level has remained the same, probably ports are blocked or something to that effect. Keep me posted though
