Question about 2005 Nissan Altima

2005 NSSAN ATIMA FRONT END NOISE

I have 69 K on the odometer and, had the front end lowered 2" with Drop Zone springs. I have ever since had a problem with the front end creaking which is more prevelet in cold weather. I recently put on new struts and, now hear a low level clicking noise when turning. Am I missing some lube points or should this vehicle need tire rods this early. I have had recent alignments. Should I change brand of springs?
Thanks

In absolute honesty. Am not a fan of lowering cars coz it knocks **** out of the suspension but........ It sounds like you have something called a CV Joint thats worn it's part of your drive shaft. Find a car park and Drive the car in a circle full lock both left and right this will tell you if im right. I'd Have both sides changed as a matter of course. Steve in the UK take care.

Knock in front end

Links are easy but getting old ones off is the hardest part. Wheels off and soak 2 nuts on each side upper and lower, and let sit 1/2 hour. You should also change the bushing 2 bolts each, where the lower part of links go into stabilizer bar, the bushing hold the bar in place. It is all connected to a front end knock/ banging noise. the fix should get rid of noise.

Have your rack and pinion steering unit checked. Here is a very good video that will help you understand rack and pinion. The creaking noise is likely from the grease in the joints that pivot when you turn your wheels.

Your friend is a little vague but almost right. This is due to lack of lubrication in the lower ball joints. Common issue. There is no way to fix other than replacement. the parts I am recomending are a little more pricey but do wonders and "FIX" the issue. They are called "Moog problem solvers". In my opinion of doing front end work over the years, Moog has some of the best products for issues with front end repair. Often correcting manufacturer issues!! Have the front end components inspected for wear and then replace the lower ball joints definately. Let me know if you need anything else.

I want lower the truck about 2"

If you lower the front by using the torsion bars the front end camber is going to be to negative. They make kits to lower cars, lower spindles keeping the steering geometry ok. In the long run i believe it is better to buy a kit and do it right.
