Question about 1993 Nissan Pathfinder

1 Answer

Headlamps won't turn on

They will work periodically, but if i hit a bump they will turn off and then i would have to hit another bump for it to turn back on. I've replaced the bulbs twice and replaced all the fuses, wiring seems to be good and the headlights are the ONLY thing that dont turn on. PLEASE HELP THIS IF VERY FRUSTRATING!

Make sure the grounds are tight on your lights up front near the headlight assembly .. also is the relay bad under the hood in the relay box ? you might check that also and see if it has a low beam relay if so replace it... thanks jerry

I have a 2003 chevy box truck and the headlamps flash while hitting bumps in the road, the turn signal swich was replaced and still does it.

I am assuming you mean the turn signal switch was replaced in the hopes the problem was the dimmer switch.
The headlight switch sends a ground signal to the body computer which controls the high and low headlight relays. It sounds like you have a bad connection in the wiring harness somewhere, especially if the high and low beams blink.

1994 cutlass ciera turn signals won't work with headlights on

From your description, T/S not working with headlamps on, it seems apparent that your turn signals have lost their ground and are grounding back through the headlamps when they are not on.

This sounds like a loose connection/bad wire somewhere for the low beam lights. Can't really give you more information without seeing the vehicle, and wiring diagram for the circuit. Usually, things that go on and off when hitting bumps are connection/wiring problems. The fact that one of your low beam headlamps burnt supports this theory. Bad connections or wiring mean lower voltage, thus higher amperage at the bulb, motor or whatever it's running, which makes them burn a lot quicker.
