Question about 1996 Honda Civic
My speedo works about every 1000 miles for about 10 miles. Otherwise it sits at 20mph. I pulled the VSS and it looks good. I did notice I hit a pothole and it worked then stop after hitting train tracks seems something would be loose but I cant figure this one out. Its a 98 civic cx 5speed. Any ideas before I rip the dash out??
More likely to be the speedo drive in the transmission or a faulty speed sensor that is electronic i would be guessing here as 98 was the change over year for civic so it depends which transmission is fitted. Don't rip the dash to pieces just yet as i'm guessing this will just create more trouble. Steve Baldam in the UK
