Question about 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe
The vehicle main audio harness (not the vehicle to OEM radio jumper/adapter short harness) connector has a numbered 16 pin connector of which 15 positions have wires. By position they are
1. Yellow with Blk dashes, 2. Blk/Brn 3. Blu 4. Blk/Wht 5. Brn 6. Orange 7. Blu/Brn 8. Red/Blk 9. Grn/Brn 10. Red with Blk dashes 11. Yellow with Blk dashes (yes a second one) 12. Pink 13. Empty no wire 14. Wht/Blk 15. Grn/Blk and 16. Blk (main gnd)
I need to know specifically what function each of these wires serve
Sounds like you need a light tester. I would guess that at least 8 of the wires are speaker + & - the others will be Main power and earth Possibly electric ariel, Memory store and a wire for the anti theft circuit. Assuming the stereo is factory. Any Audio shop can perform a test to clarify the purpose of the wires Wouldnt worry about the blank its probably a position for a newer or different model to yours. Well, you basically have only 3 choices:
1. Pay the fee at the dealership
2. Purchase the high-dollar equipment that is required to perform the programming procedure
3. Forget about adding another key fob to tor vehicle.
