I'm a certified PLATINUM Technician with a Hyundai dealership.. what you wrote doesn't make any sense. I need CLARIFICATION and SPECIFICS about what you're describing. HIGH VSS translates to High VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR Error??? What were the DTC's? (Diagnostic Trouble Codes) and AirBag code is preceded by the letter "B" .. .it would be a "B0123" or something. The Engine (Powertrain) codes are always preceded with the letter "P" .. such as P0301 = Cylinder # 1 misfire detected. Can't help you if you don't provide specifics.

Here's your solution... take the vehicle into a Hyundai Service Center - let them DIAGNOSE the problem.. they'll give you an estimate of repairs (parts, labor, tax, time-frame, etc).. this way you'll know EXACTLY what's wrong and what's required to FIX it.

The five beeps - five times would indicate a code 55 , but factory service info only goes to code 53 .

Passenger seat belt warning stays on even with ignition off

Possible seatbelt latch problem. There are sensors in the latch part of the assembly that inform the restraint module as to what is happening. Sometimes foreign objects get stuck in the latch assemblies ( Children ) and can affect operation. Scanning the airbag module for codes will let you know what part of the restraint system is causing these lights to be on. As long as the airbag light remains on, the airbags will not deploy in the event of an accident

How to get the airbag light to go off on a 2007 Chevy van Express

You need to find out what code or codes are stored in the airbag control module > There are a lot of components involved in your airbag system : If you haven't had any training on these systems your best bet is take it to a ASE certified repair shop . People have been killed messing with these systems not knowing what they were doing .
The frontal SIR system consists of the following components:
?€¢
AIR BAG indicator located on the instrument panel cluster (IPC)

?€¢
Driver and passenger knee bolsters

?€¢
Inflatable restraint front end sensor

?€¢
Inflatable restraint PASSENGER AIR BAG ON/OFF indicator located on the instrument panel

?€¢
Inflatable restraint Passenger Presence System (PPS)

?€¢
Inflatable restraint I/P module

?€¢
Inflatable restraint I/P module disable switch

?€¢
Inflatable restraint seat position sensors (SPS) (left/right)

?€¢
Inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)

?€¢
Inflatable restraint steering wheel module

?€¢
Inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil

?€¢
Inflatable restraint wiring harnesses

?€¢
Seat belt pretensioners (left/right)

?€¢

I Have 2005 forester 5 spd . P0502 and speedo not working. Is there 1 or 2 vss on a manual tranny. And is it the problem .

Hello, it is most likely the vehicle speed sensor. There is only one and should be mounted on the passengers side in the upper center section of the trans. The Subaru pin-point test says: Step 1-Is the vehicle an automatic?...No, then go to step 3- Does the speedometer operate normally?...No, Then check speedometer and VSS. I own two Subys and I've replace the speed sensor on one of them, I haven't seen to many gauge pods go out but it's not unheard of. But it's a lot cheaper to try a vehicle speed sensor than it is for a gauge pod. I hope this info helps!

Airbad error code 47

For a 99 626, the service information says that code '7' is for the passenger side airbag module. I know that your question says that you have a code '47', but the information has codes 1 / 2 / 3 / 6 / 7 / 11 / 12. It states "replace SAS module for codes not listed." The SAS module is the main airbag computer.

Passenger side airbag light wont stay off

This subject is covered in the 2006 Ford Escape Owner's Manual starting on page 116 under the heading of "Front Passenger Sensing System". I highly recommend that you read this FIRST.

If you do not have your 2006 Ford Escape Owner's Manual you can get a free PDF version HERE. (direct link to file)

If after reading the Owner's Manual, you are convinced that the problem is a malfunction (not normal operation) and is not caused by operator error, I recommend that you take your vehicle to a certified auto repair technician (or Ford Dealer) for diagnosis and repair. I DO NOT recommend attempting ANY KIND of do-it-yourself diagnosis or repair on any supplemental restraint system components without the proper training and equipment.

Air Bag Light came on this morning

If the AIRBAG light is coming on while you are driving it means that your Supplemental Restraint System (SRS) or "Aibag Module" has a malfunction and that the restraint system WILL NOT WORK in the event of an accident. I use the words "Supplemental Restraint System" and not "Airbag" because most people do not realize that the seatbelt pre-tensioners, the drivers, passenger, and side airbags (if equipped) are all included in this. I don't mean to be over-dramatic, but that light being on could quite literally make the difference between life and death in the event of an accident.

A very common cause of this is a failure of the Contact Assembly (Also Known As "ClockspringAssembly") in the steering column just under the steering wheel.
There are at lest 2 Technical Service Bulletins (TSBs) published by Ford Motor Company that may apply to your situation:

TSB 02-21-7 Which discusses known wiring problems under the driver's seat and in the area of the pre-tensioner assemblies.

TSB 04-25-15 Which covers the possibility of a faulty forward crash sensor, side crash sensor, faulty wiring to the crash sensors or a defective Restraint Control Module. (RCM)

You need to have your restraint system diagnosed as soon as possible - even if the light goes out again. There will be a fault code that a qualified technician can use to determine what is causing the fault.
