Haley is the trans, fluid level good, if it is the transmission has an internal fault and will have to be inspected by a good transmission tech.

2000 mazda 626 5 speed manual transmission is stuck in a gear and won't shift out

A clutch problem will not interfere with gear selection when the engine is off and the car stationary.

It does seem like you have a gearbox or gear linkage trouble.

WHen under load the motor revs up and it seems that the Clutch is slipping, it has 100000miles and I suspecting the clutch or the high / low range might be messed up, its a 4 plus 3 manuel transmission.

If it feels like the clutch is slipping, chances are it is. If there was a problem in any component that has internal gears, you would have grinding noises. Gears cannot slip. As the clutch wears more you may hear grinding when you try to change gears but that is because the clutch won't fully disengage so the gears are spinning too fast to shift properly. Before that happens, have the clutch replaced.

Truck will not move when put in any gear.

Hello,
What color is the Tranny fluid and does it smell burnt? If so you have a serious Transmission problem. My buddy had a Shelby Mustang with a high performance automatic Transmission. He was always nuetral dropping it (from nuetral to gear at HIGH RPM). Caused the Harmonic balancer bolts to sheer off. So i would check to see if the ballancer is still attached. The balancer on an automatic transmission gets bolted to the Flywheel where the Transmission meets the engine.Have you tried putting in in 4x4? It is possible that the rear Transaxle let go. If it moves when you lock it into 4x4 you know the transmission is good and the rearend is bad. Was there any signs of trouble before this happen? Like noises or grinding or slipping? Any strange smells? smoke? Did you put a lift kit on it and add bigger diameter tires? This can ruin a stock transmission. If you can ..leave me with more detail. So i can better diagnose.

My Automatic non-turbo 84 300zx wont work

pburcham: In studying up on your problem, I could only come up with a few possibilities from your description.
1. Linkage adjustment
2. A problem with the "Low and reverse Brake band"
however, this usually has a symptom of poor acceleration
due to the transmission slipping. That band has to grab the drum to hold for low gear.
3. Problem with the manual valve in the valve body.
4. Damaged seals causing pressure leakage which will keep the clutches from locking up.
5.Defective "High Reverse clutch" (front) check ball
Possibly a few other things, but everything (unfortunately) is still internal. The inhibitor switch is for the starting circuit and just keeps you from starting the car in anything but park and neutral.
Transmission control unit will not have this harsh an effect. It should operate without the TCU. You should be able to do a manuel shift with the transmission.
Sorry I couldn't be of more help.
I can say one thing, these transmissions were not known for failures, consequently should be a dime a dozen in salvage yards.
Why or how you got a bad one?????? Don't know?
If I can help, let me know........

Transmission shifting into nuetral

Check your fluid level. If the fluid level gets low, the pump basically pumps the pan dry in which the trans. valve body has no fluid to direct to keep in engaged in gear. Check your fluid level while running at operating temp. in nuetral. If this checks out ok, the trans. clutches are worn out to the point of the trans. no longer has the ability to stay engaged.
