Question about 2003 Acura RSX

1 Answer

I have a 2002 RSX, after boosting the battery this past weekend, the stereo no longer works. I've checked the fuses and they seem fine. I have no idea what the problem could be. It's not asking for a code, its completely dead. Any ideas?

Wiring schematics are your best friend at this point. Locate the ground circuit for the stereo (first on the schematic, then physically on the vehicle). For a component to receive "partial power" but not function as intended, the ground circuit is the best place to look. A corroded ground or a splice or crack in the ground wire should be the cause of your problem.

Car stereo not receiving power.

Sound system w/o amplifier. Not only check the fuses, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite. As you can see, one fuse is hot all the time, the other fuse goes hot with the key on. Also check ground wire, that wire color is black.
